Absolutely man, though YouTube is an amazing resource now. Put it like this I taped EVERYTHING for a very very long time man. ESPN, USA Tuesday night fights (never missed an episode) ABC,CBS,NBC, HBO, Showtime, PPV (got them all) Prime sports plus I constantly traded with people over seas to get mainly British Broadcasts, Bruno, Benn, Eubank, early Lennox stuff like that. The vast majority are still on VHS I've only just begun the very long process of converting them over to DVDs. I have such an obscene ammont of tapes that I wonder if I'll ever find the time (with 2 kids and a wife, job, life) to get them all transferred. I've decided to focus on my favorite fighters and fights first.
Yeah I have, I'm not sure how that works exactly I know people have been kicked off YouTube for that very thing, I'm sure what the loop hole is..?? Any idea?
I miss my VHS fight collection. It wasn't anything to write home about, but I was proud of it. Look after that collection man. I regret not looking after mine.
Sorry, one more thing. If you do upload to youtube one day, PLEASE include the post-fight interviews. It's so annoying when folk upload the fight but not the interviews afterwards.
Isn't just uploading the fights in general infringing on copyrights? Like I said I've seen others get away with doing it so I'd do it but don't want to lose my YouTube account in the process.. Thanks.
Joe Bugner was better than Briggs and McCline. And he lasted about three minutes with Shavers. Enough of this nonsense. Briggs' "win" over Foreman was so bad, a federal investigation was launched into the officials. That controversial, universally panned "win" aside, who the hell did Shannon Briggs ever blow out in a round? Ken Norton is in the Hall of Fame. Which of Briggs' one-round KO victims is in the Hall of Fame. Joe Bugner and Jimmy Ellis were top fighters forever. Both were stopped early. Hell, you brought up McCline, Briggs couldn't even beat him. Briggs got flattened and lost a lopsided decision. Who did Briggs destroy again? ANYONE? :hi:
Briggs never destroyed anyone good. He did knock out a shot Mercer and Liakovich when both were considered durable, neither was a destruction, and rocked Lewis and Botha.. But he has sheer early ko numbers over pretty much everyone and some of those guys weren't known for getting tossed around like that. He's definitely a scary guy early.
Despite Earnie being in my top 3 all-time favorite fighters, I have to say that this one is almost impossible to pick. It could go either way, really. Both guys I think get less respect than they deserve. Sure, GREAT fighters usually don't have those losses to journeymen on their records, but GOOD ones often do. It comes with the tough territory of pro boxing. At different points in both of their careers, these guys fought OFTEN. And when you're out barnstorming, fighting often, mishaps are going to occur. Both of these guys are GOOD fighters...they're just not great. And there's nothing wrong with that.
energie is a name brand of high end jeans bro = but you wouldnt know that cause your a little hillbilly
I don't suppose you have footage of the Shavers vs Young first bout do you? I was just getting interested in the sport when this one happened, but I have never seen this one ever.
