Apparently signed up to Salitas promotion, and is now bases in Philly. Best thing for him, gets him away from the negative distractions back home
Fighting against this durable Mexican journeyman, good to see him back. http://boxrec.com/boxer/460947
I agree,if he can be kept active say fighting every 6 weeks it will help him get his mind right about being a pro fighter, If he has another delay of six months or so he will more than likely just fade away, To be honest what iv seen of him as apro has been wild and underwhelming from what we saw as an amateur,
Activity is key. Macklin wasted his prime fighting once or twice a year...and now when it's too late he has woken up to fighting every few months. You can't be a part time boxer. Hope JJ can show more cop on than previously.
With the Limerick bill gone I suppose there're no chance of seeing other Irish guys get a run out in Manchester. Like spike john joe nevin etc........bummer really.
Ashfaq is a good fighter no doubt about it, definitely in the top five in the world at his weight and he will probably get better. Mick totally dismantled him in that last round last week though. He's a superb fighter is Conlan and he is coming into his prime as an amateur.
