Ah but you see you did both :good and yes, Mayweather is held to a higher standard. You think its strange for the person that is universally rated much higher, to also then be held to a higher standard? The truth is, is that rating almost always correlates to expectations and standards, and that is is entirely logical.
You wish Floyd would of fought Hatton at 140 or do you wish Hatton would of fought Floyd at 140? Only one of those scenarios is a true story
Yes, the highest rated fighter in the world, and the highest paid, is held to a standard that reflects his rating. Why this should be odd to anyone, I have no idea.
Floyd was held to a higher standard before he was highest paid or even highest rated...long before he was Money or TBE, other fighters who get called "Great" on this forum have a bar set way below Floyd. As Larry Holmes would say, they can't even carry his jockstrap
You are having quite a bit of revisionist history as well I might add. He got plenty of criticism for beating Castillo. Many people felt that fight shouldn't have even happened in the first place. Of course, its easy to talk it up as if people were celebrating that win like crazy and that those same people **** all over Floyd, to try and create the picture that Floyd is a victim.
