    The earliest pro fight of LaMotta (that I know of) is from 1945.

    Lloyd Marshall was awesome and he dominated this fight by all accounts. But I don't think he was right about Lamotta.

    He was 25 years old and had beaten Overlin. Garcia had passed 33. How much room for excuse does Marshall need to fit the narrative?

    Promoter Jack Solomons said that when Marshall came to the UK to fight Freddie Mills he had expected to be asked to"do business".

    Dejohn, not really. Bell yes, but the majority of people have only seen hls of one round of the bell fight.

    Ceferino wasn't black.
    And he held a version of the world title.
    Therefore, clearly inferior to any "BMR" fighter.
    Must have been a fluke loss by Marshall ... or two.
