Is this era really that weak, why didn't Floyd have a nemesis?

Mayweather had plenty of fantasy rivalries, its just too bad the opponents couldn't live up to it...or do we forget that they all promised to knock him out and take his 0

The only difference between the first and second Leonard-Hearns fights is that the first was 15 rounds and the second 12. If the second was 15 Hearns would of got his azz KO'd again! And last I checked it was a draw not a loss.

Morales was not in his prime when he fought Pacquiao...period.

Marquez won all 4 Pacquiao fights proving Pac can't handle a skilled counterpuncher regardless of weight

Marquez - Vasquez shouldn't even count when considering all they ever fought was each other

And all the other fights you listed you never saw anyway....

Bull****.:deal Castillo was more of a nemesis than Pac was.

Floyd/PAC was just a dream fight that happened 5 years too late and Pac was just a victim.

    "Pac was just a victim"

Ohhhh, poor Pacquiao, he has my complete sympathies... I feel so, so sorry for him!

They fought. The underdog lost as most of us said he would all along. Get over it. Move on.

Mayweather/Pacquiao was the most discussed boxing match in history leading up to the fight starting in 2009. And if anyone lists a "rivalry" or "nemesis" between two fighters who either never fought or only fought once with a big build up, as many posters have, than this clearly fits the bill.

Manny got tooled, therefore the past 5 years must be rewritten to downplay the rivalry

Floyd always has a nemesis...and the fans pick who that is. Unfortunately, the fans pick wrong every time. The man can't help that he is just head and shoulders above everyone else.

Please, everyone knew the fight was past its sell-by date - especially the most risk-averse guy of all, the coward Mayweather himself.

So Floyd's biggest nemesis is a guy that had already been KTFO 3 times and could never get past JMM. Pretty much what the thread is about:deal

"Get over it. Move one" WTF?

floyd should have a lot of nemesis but he refused to fight fair and square. he uses every advantage he can get to preserve his record which is his only selling point. he fights safety first to preserve his body while the other potential opponents fight responsibly to entertain so they suffer wear and tear and age in the sport normally. all other great rivalries of the sport are explosive and entertaining fights where both participants showed offensive dominance with lesser defense and not the other way around.
