Lol no it wouldn't. GGG would be carrying that card completely by himself. Ward is fighting on a undercard for his next fight for pete sakes. It doesn't draw enough numbers to compensate the 8 lbs GGG would gain going up.

Ward has become irrelevent, he knows it, and tries to put his name somewhere by talking about GGG, so he get some of GGG's fame. Last Ward's fight was on a chanel I don't even know about and was watch by about nobody (including me), because not only Ward is boring, but the fight was against a less then subpar opponent. Ward is now lucky to be fighting in the Canelo-Cotto big PPV card, but again he might fight against a guy nobody really cares.

Since S6, Ward was called out by Bute (who was then undefeated) but he ducked. He was called again by Stevenson when Stevenson was hot at 168 and 175 (prior to his Dawson's fight, Stevenson was fighting at 168 ). He was called by Froch to fight in England. By Kessler to fight in Denmark. Ward had plenty of opportunities to stay in the public attention but he has become irrelevent since.

I'm sorry, but you've become such a Golovkin-lover you're almost, ALMOST, as bad as some of the Mayweather/Pacquiao fans.

• I wouldn't put Loma or Walters in that conversation yet.
• Golovkin should unify and not open his mouth about any other weight to avoid criticism like this.
• Ward SHOULD move up to 175 since it doesn't look like he and GGG can come to terms.
• It's possible.

Cotto would carry the card by himself if he fought GGG
Canelo would carry the card by himself if he fought GGG
JCC would carry the card by himself if he fought GGG
