From Mexico on down to Argentina. Those with passports from Central America and South America. Whats your top 10 from that boxing rich region. Disclaimer: yes Sergio Martinez is a white guy, but his ethnicity is latino. Yes Tito Trinidad is a black guy, but his ethnicity is latino. Don't want this to be a race bait thread.
Roberto Duran, Wilfredo Gomez, Felix Trinidad, Ricardo Lopez, Ruben Olivares, Carlos Monzon, Carlos Ortiz, Kid Chocolate, Wilfred Benitez, Erik Morales.
Thanks. I was asking because I've found that I've enjoyed watching Latino fighters because of their style. A lot of them have been exciting.
Duran, Chavez, and Monzon are the top 3 without much debate. After that, the list can go a variety of ways.
Carlos Monzon Roberto Duran Julio Cesar Chavez Ricardo Lopez Carlos Ortiz Salvador Sanchez Nicolino Locche
I don't have a definitive list, but Duran heads it and guys like Jofre, Monzon, Chavez, Gavilan, Arguello, Napoles, C. Ortiz, and Olivares would likely make the list; and men like Brown, Gomez, Benitez, Perez, Canto, Zarate, etc. would vie for a spot.
I stand semi-corrected. Jamaica is just south of Cuba, But I don't believe it is considered a Latin country
