    Gene Fullmer. Crude and not pretty, but pretty effective.

    :lol::lol:

    If you want to big up Vinny Paz, I'd say you should pick a better example of him than beating a 43 /44 year old Duran. LMFAO

    No one could ever accuse him of being an ATG, but with very limited natural talent yet bucket loads of hard work and dedication Frank Bruno finally won the WBC title.

    Erm hello, Pazienza beat Duran, Duran beat Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Leonard had the same nickname as Sugar Ray Robinson.

    Ergo Pazienza > Robinson and Pazienza couldn't even land a punch on Jones so Jones is the goat.

    I beg your pardon I didn't realise that was your attempt at humour. Laugh, I nearly started.

    Doesn't alter the fact that 29 year old Duran beat Leonard 14 years before he lost to Paz.

    But Frank was always a natural puncher at least. He was naturally bigger than most and he was naturally brave. That's a lot of natural ability.

    Gene was naturally rough and tough. He had abnormally thick brow that made him look like he could naturally take a better shot than the average guy. Stronger than average for the weight too. That's still natural God given ability.

    I agree. You have to have something special to make it to the top in boxing. I've even seen decent amateur fighters with loads of natural ability. It's like any sport, the top guys make it look easy.

    Exactly Duran beat Sugar Ray Leonard therefore beat Sugar Ray Robinson. So Pazienza beat him and Jones beat Paz.

    I wouldn't bring the 40+ year old Duran into the picture to make a point about anything.
