Tyson was superior to Frazier in pretty much every way. Speed, power, accuracy, footwork, head movement, timing. In fact there aren't really any similarities at all.
I'd favour Ali to beat him. He was faster than Tyson which Tyson isn't used to, his movement would keep him away enough to outscore Tyson over 12-15 rounds. Ali also had a great chin so could go the distance and the longer it goes the more I favour Ali to take over. Holyfield beat him twice. He'd have a rougher time with peak Tyson, but his speed, strength, mental fortitude and dirty tactics will see him beat prime Tyson as well in a competitive fight. Lewis would have a decent chance. His size, strength and uppercut would still give prime Tyson problems like it did the shot Tyson. It would be a far closer fight though, maybe more like the Lewis/Mercer fight with the more effective Tyson putting real pressure on Lewis and resulting in Lewis winning a contested decision where he has to dig deep to win on points in the later stages as Tyson tires. Tyson of course would have a punchers chance, if Lewis is anything less than 100% he gets KO'ed. Foreman like Lewis had the size, strength and uppercut to give Tyson problems. Foreman was very strong and strong guys like Lewis and Holyfield who could stand their ground and even push Tyson back can make him less effective. That combined with Foreman's huge power could see Foreman win. But I think it comes down to who could take the others power better. Foreman will land on Tyson due to his aggression, strength and uppercuts but Tyson will land on Big George due to his speed and ability to get inside.
Actually that story was debunked many years ago. Foreman is on record saying why the fight didnt happen. And the fight didnt happen because Foreman refused to sign when King offered him the contract. Because 'i was more scared of Don King than Mike Tyson'.
Well if Ron Lyle dropped Foreman, Tyson would have him sleeping. Tyson fought good, very good and great opposition. What the hell are you on about? Holyfield, Lewis and Holmes are not greats? Yes because he never fought any. atsch Hamed also happens to be ATG Barreras best win outside Morales. As is Tyson for Holyfield. You cant be a great win for somone if you sucked.
Guys I would pick to defeat prime young Tyson, most confident down to least: prime Ali prime 1938 Louis pre-Young prime Foreman prime Jack Johnson older prime Wladimir younger prime Vitali mid-career prime Lennox
They were both black and short. What more comparisons do we need on this message board? Facts don't matter yo!
Tyson was a much better boxer in 1987 than '88-'89; he was already going downhill. In '87 against Thomas, Tucker and Briggs he was immaculately skilled.
Vitali klitchko stands the best chance he was 6'7 250 and had a chin...his awkward style and size advantage would disrupt Tysons combo ability for him to be successful Tyson needs to land those and Vitalis lean back style and physical strength could disrupt that. Tyson k.o percentage also went down with the bigger guys, its a tough one for him...I would say Lewis could beat him as well but I think Tyson would be the favorite...Wlad would be a 50/50 fight for me in favor of Tyson, depending who lands first. Anyone outside those 3 I don't give much chance! People have to understand a 6'7 giant with actual skill and size is going to be difficult for any 5'10/5'11 fighter, even Tyson.
Lennox, Evander or anyone else proved to show Mike they weren't scared of him....VITALI would crush him since he would be swinging at nothing all night and get tied up...get exhausted VK KO between 7-9th rd. PLAN, JAB JAB, Tie him up = frustrated Tyson = LOSE
Well if Ron Lyle dropped Foreman, Tyson would have him sleeping. This content is protected Tyson fought good, very good and great opposition. This content is protected
That same Larry Holmes who went on to make Holyfield look silly, beat Ray Mercer and gave a good account of himself vs Mcall, the guy who knocked Lewis out? Well for a start Tysons chin was in a different stratosphere to Nortons, secondly, Foreman never fought anyone who had the firepower Tyson did.
