I'm a fan and he's a sure HOF'er but he's not a top 100 ATG. Resume and skillset just doesnt support that. He'd need a bit deeper resume and shouldn't have anymore losses than Floyd or Pac. He struggled with some low level guys he shouldn't have.

The only thing that damage His legacy was His unmotivated effort against Trout, and His self train without an elite trainer career, He could have done more if He was able to take His career early more seriously, Proper trainer and motivation could had done better against Pac and beat Margo and Trout. But Cotto still have one of the best resume by an active fighter. I never would have expected Cotto to win a middleweight belt, I even criticized Him for moving up to light middle saying that He was to small for that division and yes He is a small jr middleweight.

Canelo will make Cotto look like the same old Cotto that was beaten up by Trout and was almost KO'd by Floyd, and shatter everyone's illusion that somehow Cotto is some reinvigorated fighter.

Alvarez is a live dog, Rodriguez was a no hoper, Martinez would've been cleaned out by any top fighter that night, Geale was obviously affected by the weight but not as much as he'd like people to think, it wasn't a massive drop but mentally he wasn't there at all.
