Venter-Muller would be terrific, actually. Guaranteed fireworks and it makes a lot of sense to make for multiple reasons (local bragging rights, the family revenge angle, being the most successful two Usyk opponents thus far in the pros...)

    Offended, no

Usyk's a phenom imo. I' would expect him to unify CW if given the oppertunity and have a successful run at HW, quite possibly getting a belt and beating one or some of the giants Fury x2, Parker, Joshua, Wilder etc down the road.

cool, I get confused about how serious we are all being on here :p

well I would love to see him unify CW as that's hardly ever been done and its TIME that somebody at least tries to imo :good

I'm serious on here about 0.2% of the time but it's hard to tell on the computer...which makes it even more fun.

He could be the one to put CW on the map and make it so talents like Adamek, Cunningham and Haye don't feel obliged to go chasing paydays at HW. :nod

I hate to give Al Haymon credit but that scumbag deserves it a little, because of him we've had Shumenov-Flores and Huck-Glowacki in just the last two months. Now if K2 could get off of their ass and try to get Usyk a slot on the undercard of GGG-Lemieux or at the very least Wlad-Fury we might be getting somewhere.

Credit for what? Flores/Shumenov was garbage and Huck/Glowacki was a mandatory already happening. Huck left Sauerland and wanted to get on US TV before his HW run he's the one that made it happen and if it wasn't PBC it would have been another US network.

Huck, Haymon PBC viewed Glowacki as a Polish cab driver who was there to make Marko look good but now with Glowacki winning and signing with Haymon that belt is likely to go on a Quillin type title run for all the D level US based CW rejects. Thankfully Usyk and Kudryashov are rated #2 and 4 so he'll have to face a live body after another fight or two.

Just for putting it on American television we haven't had a Cruiserweight match on free TV or pay TV in a really long time here. There's a Spanish channel called Bein that ran Makabu-Kucher a few years ago and Gassiev vs Cora Jr was on Fox Sports1 but neither of those channels are that mainstream.

Neither is spike though, it's probably on a similar level as fs1

When we get some CW title fights on ESPN or nbc/cbs, then it's finally brought to the mainstream, but Spike is by no means a mainstream channel

No but here's the catch it was the undercard for Tarver-Cunningham which had far more people watch it than some rinky dink FS1 card with Gassiev/Cora for the main event.

Sidenote: I just thought of this.... Makabu/Kucher which was over two years ago, now what would a Boxing novice be watching Makabu/Kucher on Bein for, even before I registered on here?:yep

Like i said Huck was the one seeking US TV (there were reports of him talking to HBO a while ago) but i imagine the reason Haymon put him on PBC was to use Huck as a title defense for Wilder in the future....
