Lets say the Hagler that smashed Mugabi? or maybe the one who blasted Hearns? in other words The best version of Hagler vs the best version of triple G, does Golovkin stalk Hagler down and pound him out?

I tell you what, I would like to see GGG vs the Mugabi who fought Hagler, or the Hearns from the Hagler s****.

How about the Leonard who smashed Lalonde? before we get carried away, intelligently consider these questions and give me you're assessment.

I can't see it. Haglar had an elite chin, a tricky ambidextrous style, and power of his own. Tough night for GGG.

Dont think so would be a decent fight. GGG has not mixed it in the same class as hagler so we don't how good he could be till he dights the better guys at 160up

Let's wait for GGG to face an elite fighter and then we can start putting him in mythical matchups. He's not even number 1 in the division yet.

Hagler was better in every single department. He ruins GGG.

This would be a great question in five years time after we see just how special GGG is.

This wasn't prime Hagler. This version still beats Golovkin. Hagler is just a very bad style matchup for someone like Golovkin.

I think that Golovkin would give him a hell of a fight. But here's the thing: I think Hagler has one huge edge beyond his chin. I don't think that GGG is a great infighter, and Hagler could take you to pieces up close. I could be wrong, but I think that if Hagler got inside he might just break Golovkin down over the stretch.

That said, Golovkin has a huge punch and is a very clever boxer probably with a great chin himself, so I would not write him off, either. Would definitely be one of Marvellous' hardest fights.

We would never know, but with certainty we can say that Hagler would have given GGG a chance to challenge him for the belt compared to the other titlists of today. I think GGG's boxing abilities are underrated and he would have given Hagler a hell of a fight. But who wins? who knows.

It's quite safe to say that boxing fans are biased when they compare great figthers from the past because according to them boxing doesn't evolve and becomes worse and worse day by day, and those greats from the past always beat boxers of today.
