You metaphorically rubbed my face in urine and want an apology as well? You can't have both.

I was hoping you wouldn't catch onto that, my bad. No apology needed. We will stick with rubbing your face in urine :good

See what you get when you try to be reasonable :p

Bruce did a lot more than lifting to enhance his speed and power. You can quote Wong , but Bruce self admitted his favorited exercises were running, cyling and jumping rope.

These are the basic age old training methods. As is weight training.

Now you're saying Lee used modern methods when he was active around the same time as Ali - who you claim Wlad would beat because of 'modern training methods'

Whoopee do, a PhD in Sports Science. You can also get one in " religious studies " about as useful with about as much prestige. None worth talking about.

They are the kind of people sitting in reception in sports centres, earning peanuts but get to wear a badge with their name on.

Ali spent from 1963 until 1978 telling everyone he was the greatest ever, getting better with every fight you moronic fool.

Why do you even bother coming on boards mouthing off about things, and people you know less than fukk all about.

Fukkin jesus the imbecilic unclean has just worked that Muhammad Ali had something of an ego.:nut:nut:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

You are as stupid as most of these newbies who claim that seeing as athletics have improved boxing must have.

According to you fools the following is garbage

Boxing Illustrated rated the "40 hardest punchers pound for pound in
boxing history" in their April 1993 issue. Here are the top 10.

    10. Sandy Saddler
    9. Jack Dempsey
    8. Joe Louis
    7. Earnie Shavers
    6. Bob Satterfield
    5. Charles Ledoux
    4. George Chaney
    3. Bob Fitzsimmons
    2. Max Baer
    1. Jimmy Wilde

because ONLY fighters after 1993 can really punch, and everyone of these guys listed as punchers would be as nothing compared to the top 5 men in their respective divisions post 1993.

    or how about

Boxing Scene listed boxings "10 greatest chins" in their 1991 issue. Here
they are in no particular order.

    Joe Grim
    Tom Sharkey
    Jake LaMotta
    Rocky Marciano
    George Chuvalo
    Muhammad Ali
    Vito Antuofermo
    Randy "Tex" Cobb
    Marvin Hagler
    Julio Cesar Chavez

I suppose you, crabtwee and the other mong's are going to tell us that ONLY fighters from 1991 onward's have got good chins, and again every top 5 in the above fighters current divisions would spark these guys inside a round or 2.

It doesn't get much more stupid, but I'll give you idiots one thing you are all giving it your best shots.

Boxing has only ever been about hitting, and either not getting hit, or getting hit and ignoring it. The principle has never, or never will change.

Modern training methods, and nutrition are just another means of self appointed " experts " leeching even more money off the fighters.

They are no different to " agents " in football.

So come on then let you newbies bring on these so called facts, and evidence that today's fighters hit harder than those listed above, or that today's fighter have better resistance to punches than the other list. I don't want to hear any of your insignificant drivel about heart rates, protein or sh it like that.

Punching, and taking punches are the 2 most paramount aspects of boxing, so sh it or get off the pot. Names or STFU.

yes... like pyometrics which are very modern, and isometrics which are also very modern and in the boxing world, lifting weights is very modern. You said he didnt lift weights, which is wrong. You also said he did not use modern training, which is wrong again. I asked you where you got the information from that he stopped lifting weights and you couldnt answer it. ill leave it at that.

actually this is your argument. but its sarcasm that fails because no one is claiming any of the points that you mentioned.

in fact, you only made yourself look more stupid.

    no its not.

there are hundreds of sports that have declined, gone into obscurity or even vanished from the face of the earth.
explain these sports have improved if they are now less practised.

    explain it now.
