true fact indeed, well said, kliturd, and he didn't fight any elite fighters after lewis either... funny , that....

(in my best Attenborough voice) "observe... the lesser spotted termite eating kliturd... as it self-destructs once again..."

He fought Jose Ribalta in 98, 2 years after turning pro.

A guy Tyson beat 12 years prior!

Surely there were more relevant journeyman types around in 98?

    So Vitali was green now:roll:

Vitali had been climbing the WBC ladder for the previous year to get to Lewis. That was his goal and he was prepared and ready for Lewis more than he ever could be.

Lewis on the other hand knew nothing about Vitali , didn't care, was meant to fight somebody else , yet fought him on two weeks notice anyway. And still beat him:bananamaniac

Wow. The likely hood of Vitali getting cut and having the ref stop the fight is slim to none. If they fought 10 times, Lennox would beat him once, and it would be due to cuts. Lennox does not win matches by cutting people up, and having the ref stop the fight, it is silly to assume this is some sort of talent. Lennox was EXTREMELY fortunate. :deal

Fortunate that he didnt go down in history for permanently disabling Vitali.

But they didnt fight 10 times did they?

    They fought once.

Lewis has a 100% record against Klitscko

Because we all know Lennox Lewis does this to all of his opponents right  You either lose by Knock out, or by decision. To lose via cut, and be outboxing your opponent is as rare as me picking up a random hot girl from the streets, and her NOT calling the police.

But I bet you have no problem with Wlad getting the victory against Williamson over cuts.

The problem with your theory of course, is Lennox only needed to fight Vitali once, to beat him once.

Boxing 101, when a fighter throws a punch at the other guy it is with the intention of doing damage to him. Last I checked cutting someone with punches was damaging them.

Jog on. Next Klit turd please.

To have a fight end due to cuts, is VERY rare. You would have to be extremely lucky in order to pull if off. Vitali was also outboxing Lennox, we all saw the fight, Vitali gave Lennox a boxing lesson.

Nice try at using logic, Wlad was outboxing the living daylights out of Williamson. The fight would not have gone any other way. Vitali was outboxing the living daylights out of Lennox, which is why it is extremely rare to be outboxing your opponent, and lose because the cut got severe enough to cause a doctor stoppage :deal

If they fought 10 times, the outcome would be Vitali winning on the judges score cards, unless he gets cut again.

Who got dropped flat on his azz in that fight and was breathing heavily out his mouth after only the 2nd round?

Winning 2 rounds isn't outboxing the living daylights out of anybody.

I don't remember Lewis hitting any canvas , then quitting when he realized he had another long 9 rounds to go.

Wlad was done. Against Williamson.:rofl After 4 rounds:lol:

Boxing fans are too prideful to ever say "I don't know". I don't know what would have happened in round 7 or in a rematch. You can make a great case for either guy. It was a tremendous fight and really called for a rematch. I don't blame Lewis for not wanting to go through another camp, but it amounted to a serious piece of unfinished business. Lennox left the ring to boos that night while Vitali celebrated and played to the crowd. I wish Lewis had come back one last time to settle this. It would have been a pick'em situation and a huge money maker.

i agree with that, but the question in the thread is far more general than what would have happened in that fight or a rematch, it doesn't even specify it is that age lewis, it just says could he win without cuts? not would he, not in a rematch, just could he? and the answer to that is pretty obviously yes.
