    Marciano also doesn't have a great resume for an ATG, but it is still well ahead of Floyds.

    The answer is Marciano for me.

    While Mayweather was born into a family of boxers and had a great amateur career, winning Bronze in Atlanta, Marciano had little in of that background as was fighting in World War II before he became a pro.

    Since Floyd's been a pro he's always been a pretty big draw and has basically been allowed to hand pick opponents whereas Marciano early in his career had to fight who was willing to fight him and scratch and claw his way up the rankings, and earn a title shot when there was far less titles about.

    Plus when Marciano became champion he only had one easy fight (v Don Cockell) and to reach 49-0 he targeted an ATG in Archie Moore, not a journeyman like Berto.

    Pac was P4P no.1 between 2007 when Floyd retired and 2012 when he got knocked out. When did Floyd become No.1? 2004? -edit 2005 more like when Hopkins lost to Taylor- So thats one stretch of two years and one of three years, against Pacquiaos one stretch of five years.

    I disagree entirely with people that say Floyd cherry picks, aside from Pacquiao which should have happened 2 or 3 years ago. In the last 3 years, he's fought Maidana, Canelo, Cotto, and Guerrero. Those guys were far from easy fights.

    I don't think Mayweather should have made is 49th fight against Berto but that's just me. Khan or Thurman would have been better.
