i don't think this guy has even watched the fight, maybe once when it happened, but i watched it today and this nonsense bears no resemblance to what actually happened.

 

the cut occurred in round 2, at which point it was 1 round apiece. Neither fighter could be considered to be ahead after 2 rounds, as with most fights. There is NOTHING "likely" at all in what point you made, you simply lied.

Something that seems to be overlooked here is that Vitali was cut in round three. Now normally when a fighter is cut he fights to protect that cut but Vitali was getting hit more and more as the fight progressed.
He did a terrible job of protecting his cut and actually made it worse by continuing in that mauling, brawling manner that the fight had become.

Fighters get cut but they can also adjust and protect the cut well enough that the corner can actually do something about it. Vitali really failed himself there.

 

4-2 is hardly given anyone a boxing lesson. Had Lewis won the first round for example it would be 3-3, and certainly some did score it 3-3 prior to the stoppage. (I had it 4-2 Vitali, but really the score was meaningless and was always going to be meaningless, given the type of fight it was.)

It is a much better question. It's funny though, it would be far from an easy task for Lewis to get past a 37 year old Vitali, even in his prime. As much as I hate to phrase it this we, it was probably the first time we have seen two great modern super heavyweights and both looked very sloppy at times, Lewis was likely out of shape and didn't exactly bring out the best in Vitali because of this. I think it would always be a competitive fight, and we would see some intriguing results if we matched younger and older versions against each other.
