Steve Bunce said there would be an announcement of another big fight on the Nation on Monday. Must be one of these: Floyd, Vlad, GGG or Cotto. I would be hoping for at least two of these fights being shown on the channel. Hope it is either GGG or Cotto in the meantime.

 

No chance of Klitschko v Fury on BN, Frank said he has no interest in getting it on the channel.

 

Any news or rumours as to who will pick up the UK rights to show these fights?

 

Boxnation apparently announcing a new big fight today could be one of them but it's likely mayweather vs berto

I'm seeing that sky have lost the ashes as well, got a feeling that with the bumper football deal they are cutting corners with other sports....what kind of price bracket do these fights go for?

Are they sold on a fight by fight basis?

Got a feeling that BT will pick up at least 1 of the fights.

 

They've lost the rights to the Ashes in Australia and not England, Sky still have them.

Rights fees can be anything from 10k to 400k for an overseas card (PPV fights excluded). Domestic cards are usually less typically.

As for Canelo/Cotto I suspect that'll end upon Boxnation with the GGG fight being on Sky.

Big Abdul confirmed the Sky Box Office PPV Fury v Clit last week although they are taking their time in announcing it.

There has been unprecedented levels of people telling Sky to stick it over the summer after the £4 increase back in May. The lack of Champions League Football has resulted in another flood of cancellations.

The big man said that it is a great time to phone up and threaten to cancel as they will give you 50% off for a year if you negotiate properly.

after seeing the cut I've had to take back my comments - can't blame frankk for that. Was just really ****ed as I just bought my tickets but it's one of those things.

A few people on twitter are saying BN have bought the
GGG/Lemieux & Cotto/Canelo cards.

That would make it a good second half of the year for BN IMO.

The only card they had to make sure they got was the Fury card and they failed miserably.

Will be another year of catastrophic losses for FW & Co.

 

All this big announcement stuff is getting boring now it rarely lives up to the hype.anyway FW got a very weak stable of domestic fighters so its got to be something happening stateside.

 

Hopefully Canelo/Cotto or GGG fight. I thought that last week when it transpired to be Mayweather-Berto though. Which isn't so bad as I want to see the Groves fight
