How would Ali beat Vlad?

As I remember, it was common knowledge at the time, Ali wanted to punish Terrell, not knock him out, for not calling him Ali... Terrell insisted on calling him Cassius Clay, Ali's slave name... This infuriated Ali.. the whole fight he kept screaming at Terrell, "WHAT'S MY NAME?, WHAT'S MY NAME? As he pummeled him for the whole fight... Who didn't know that?

 

Ali stopped Foreman, Liston, Frazier, and Lyle amongst others.

Sanders stopped nobody of note except Wladmir and Mike Sprott (!)

Brewster stopped nobody of note except Wladmir and an old over the hill Golota.

Ross Purrity, had 12 losses at the time of knocking out Wladmir and outside of Wladmir beat nobody of note, except Joe Hipp and Gonzales.

Sanders: 6'4, 77" reach.
Purrity: 6'3, 80" reach.
Brewster: 6'2, 77" reach.
Ali: 6'3, 78" reach.

I think Alis got more than enough tools to do the job on Wladmir.

If it hadn't been for the malice Ali showed toward Joe Frazier, he would have been " famous " for the brutal torture he inflicted on Terrell. Ali did in fact have him on the point of stoppage at least 4 times, but backed off and let Ernie recover so that he could keep screaming at him " what's my name " whilst battering him.

Even the press at the time said it was disgusting behavior on Ali's part. Ali tried to justify it by saying " I dropped my slave name Cassius Clay 3 years ago, Terrell should call me by my rightful name Muhammad Ali. "

My only point in this thread is to point out that it is theoretically possible that Vlad could smother and defeat Ali, he is a very strong difficult boxer to fight against. Implying that Vlad has no chance against Ali is overstating the reality of boxing.
