Well, since Cotto said himself that he's not a middleweight, I wouldn't say him.

Wait, I hope you're not talking about Martinez. That dude shouldn't have even been fighting that night.

Yeah Cotto is small enough to hide in every little hole to not get in the ring with Gennady Golovkin . . :good

Martinez shouldn't have been fighting, but I ain't going to argue w/ u for the next 3 hours on it. Cotto isn't a middleweight, that's all.

Martinez shouldnt have been fighting against Murray too then. So ggg fans need to stop crediting Murray for giving Martinez a good fight. If Murray was half as good as they say he is he would have stopped him easy like Cotto did. Anyways, I have to take a power nap soon, so be a doll and let me have the last word :happy.

Resume - Cotto. He's just simply been in with better fighters. Potential HOFs and ATGs. GGG hasn't been in with anyone any better than Clottey and definitely not Shane, Manny or Floyd. I don't give Cotto a lot of credit for beating Martinez, though he looked spectacular doing so. Martinez wasn't anywhere near his best form.

H2H - GGG in all likelihood beats Cotto and all the top guys at MW. But, Quillin is not to be slept on. I don't think he is any rush to get in there with GGG. But, in the ring he is tough and can fight. And he has enough power to make it interesting. I'd pick Quillin to stop Lemieux.

If the question was instead who is the most AVOIDED or FEARED fighter at MW, you would get 100% of the votes in favor of GGG.

A prime Martinez would have knocked Murray the **** out, but still, Murray has proven himself at the top level in the MW division against Sturm as well who he gave a pretty good fight (some people in fact believe he was robbed, I am of opinion that it in fact was Sturm who was robbed that night but whatever...).

Murray is as far as middleweights go, a quality opponent, he's not a "bum" many make him out to be, he's a proven top middle. There are plenty of other top middles that Golovkin faced, however, middleweight division is not in a great state and that is not to a fault of Golovkin, however, nobody can claim he's not faced top fighters in his division.

Martinez WAS a good champion till his legs let him down
Cotto makes a career out of fighting & beating crippled fighters
    Martinez ......His legs were shot

Yuri Foreman..... He was fighting on one good leg. His corner tried to throw in the towel Ref Mercante jr threw towel back out. Cotto still couldn't put Yuri away

Antonio Margarito II....Fight was an almost carbon copy of Fight 1 except Margarito had only one good eye. Cotto still couldn't put him away. Suddenly ,as in fight 1 Cotto visibly started to wilt Margarito was beating his chest Suddenly the NY doc decides to stop the fight. Not to save Margarito's eye, which he couldn't see out of since round 2, but to save Cotto quitting on his knees AGAIN!!!!

Best 160 er is GGG No one else comes close

Martinez was done after the Macklin fight. His body kept deteriorating after that fight, and he was pretty much done by the Murray fight. So GGG fans need to stop crediting Murray for that fight if they're going to criticize Cotto.

it's a joke, you have no sense of humor. you always try to bully people into thinking everyone is ducking GGG, and that Ward is a worthless scrub no one wants to watch, you also lie about Ward, this is the behavior of a bully.

Hey just another thought entered my head..
Miguel Cotto brags he KO'd Sergio Martinez to win the lineal title making him champion. BUT when he defends that title he makes his opponent fight at catchweight. How can that be legal?? Then when his name is mentioned for a probable defense against GGG his fans claim he cannot fight GGG as he is not a middleweight ROFLMAO
Same deal with Mayweather. Floyd holds a title at 154 but when GGG offered to drop to 154 to challenge him Floyd says NO I'm not a 154 pound boxer ROFLMAO This is LUDICROUS!! Why cant they be honest & say theyre scared to fight him because they know they cannot beat him
