So you don't think Froch is going to the HOF?

I think ultimately he will get in the HOF when all is said and done. Put his pro career and amateur career together by the time he's finished and he'll no doubt get in IMO.

Apparently, Joe's been banging Herol's ol' lady and that makes the man a bit sore.

To say nothin' of his missus. :D

SOB Ward refused to fight Stevenson, even at 168 and he said that Kovalev was too big for him.........................Beterbiev would knock that cheat out, but SOB will not fight anyone who can punch back.................can you imagine that Ward said he would easily beat both Klitschkos?! Ward would not sign a contract for that fight, Vitali or Vlad would step on him and squash him like an ant..................

Yes froch probably gets in mainly for his run of opposition and actually fighting the best on offer. Is ward just going to piggyback off froch and not bother carving out his own legacy.

No. His run of opposition? Which of those guys are shoe in HOFers other than maybe Taylor and perhaps Kessler (whom he had to fight 2x and Ward dominated)? The toughest opposition on his resume was Ward and Kessler. And guess what? He lost to both. I like Froch. But, the sherriff of Nottingham got a gift against Dirrel, IMO. He's beaten some good guys. But, if he goes in...Ward goes in.

To reiterate an earlier point, a lot of posters around here have much stricter standards for HOF inductions than the HOF themselves.

I think Ward, Froch, and Kessler are all shoe-ins, and I think Abraham probably makes it as well. Since Froch and Kessler are retired (and assuming the stay retired), I guess we'll find out in 5 years or so on them. But I think Ward is probably a lock, too, except he has time to perhaps enhance his legacy further.

Do you have to beat hof'ers to get in yourself? No. He fought every top opponent available. yes he lost twice, avenged one loss and offered to fight the other (but as always ward finds reasons not to fight)
If you beat a hofer should you automatically get in? (Kirkland laing vs duran)
He's got the super six and that it so far. looking back at froch and ward post SSIX you would think frock won the thing! just because ward beat froch doesn't mean he takes credit for froch's wins. Would/could ward walk though bute like froch? Did he rematch kessler, knock groves out (in front of 80,000 screaming fans) no that was froch

It's not about taking credit for anyone's wins. Ward is just flat out better than Froch in every category except popularity. Fighting in front of 80k people does not guarantee anyone HOF. In that case Groves is guaranteed to get in as well. And who is to say he and Ward wouldn't have done 100k in the UK? Ward was a lot more inactive than Froch due to injuries and promotional issues. There is no way you would think Froch won the SS. He did not even want to rematch Ward. He was satisfied with being second best. He did however capitalize more from the exposure he got in the SS than Ward has thusfar.

Honestly, the IBHOF has started admitting some undeserving fighters into their "exclusive" club.

If Mancini and Gatti made the HOF, I have no doubt Andre Ward will have his place in Canastota.

Yes he did beat froch and probably would again but does that mean he would beat dirrel, bute and groves no it doesn't styles make fights. The 80k bit was a joke ;) who thinks froch won the SS ?? And he did offer ward a rematch but ward thinks he can draw 80k? Like the froch v groves rematch haha
