Simple Question: Which Fighter Was Better? Dempsey or Tyson?

Tyson. Dempsey's movements look less polished than Tyson, to me.

Simple answer, Tyson... He was a quicker, more elusive, more durable, bigger and harder hitting hw.

 

Tyson, faster, bigger, stronger, better combination puncher, better upper body movement, better technique, just simply better.

 

Tyson. Better physically, better technically, beat a higher degree of heavyweight.

Dempsey.. p4p the better fighter.. more consistent. Overall had the better record. Tyson lost focus after douglas fight.

Tyson fought men who had a better combination of size, strength, power, durability, and skill than Dempsey did.

Spinks prior to his first loss. He beat guys like Berbick, Smith, Thomas, Tucker, Tubbs, and Bruno (all held a piece of the HW title at some point). He also beat guys like Tillis, Green, Ferguson, Biggs, and Williams.
