Floyd got better post 2009. His defense improved and he became more active. a polished season fighter by 2014. If he had fought Pac in early-mid 2010 I think he would have lost.

Experience don't mean much anymore when you've been in the game that long.. Decline due to old age and wear and tear way way faster than a veteran getting better due to experience...

 

Maybe he didn't think those guys got to where they were due to PEDs.. Since he made it a big deal with Pac, he continued it so he won't look stupid.. But you'll have to ask him...
