This sort of gossip always has to come with a health warning. However, strangely perhaps, I do believe him about Spike telling him BJS has been sloppy about training. The cut being genuine is one thing but it doesnt mean he wasnt being sloppy in training in fairness. It could be that the cut turns out to be a godsend for BJS, allowing him more time to get fit. If wouldnt be the first time it happened in boxing.
Thanks lads , happy with win went out and stuck to boxing got the rounds in got caught with very little, hand held up well so looking like I'll be out soon. Back to gym Tuesday to help Buglioni in camp, Nick Blackwell was suppose to be over for three weeks but after first week said wants to build his fitness so won't see him stuck without decent sparring. Khomitsky was suppose to come over for last two weeks but let Pascal down aswel. Any ideas of a good super middle available that's similar style to Chudinov I'll pass on name to Packie.
Well done Luke, hope you get on the Liverpool under card. Max Bursak perhaps? Rugged come-forward guy, KOd the guy Macklin beat recently, nowhere near as polished as Chudinov but will chug forward all-day
Link to the World Juniors, just watched Paddy Donovan beat Kazackstan, it goes to show how strong our juniors are when the 2 European Champions in the age group couldnt even make the team both beaten in the Irish Nationals, Jordan Myers beaten by Gary Hydes lad Tommy and Jason Harty beaten by Dublins Paul Ryan. http://stpetersburgboxing.org/online/#
Ireland’s talented young boxers boxers recorded a hat-trick of wins at the AIBA World Junior Championships in Russia today. Joe Nevin, Paul Ryan and Sean Purcell booked tickets into the last-16 in impressive style in St Petersburg. Click here for official site, which also provides live coverage. Nevin and Ryan starred in a double over Tajikistan in the Northern Russian capital earlier this afternoon. Both athletes were in superb form said Irish coach Billy McCleane. Purcell completed the hat-trick at the expense of David Toth. The Hungarian bantam was on the floor in the first round after being on the wrong end of a big left from the Kilkenny ace, but that was ruled a slip. An emphatic win for the Irish champion, who never left his Toth settle into any type of rhythm and who rattled his opponent with a solid right in the third. Craig Kavanagh lost out after three close rounds with Rustan Muratov (Kyrgyzstan) in the pin-weight class earlier today. Nevin will be back in action tomorrow, along with Irish captain Aaron McKenna, Tommy Hyde, Paddy Donovan and Jimmy O’Reilly. No bother, Just seen Aaron McKenna won there today aswel, goin good so far. On another note just seen Tyson Fury on Sky Sports News about how he wants to be the best British fighter of all time, I hope gets sparked, big buffoon plays the Irish card when it suits him to sell tickets, clown of a man.
Why would you be getting all hot & bothered about Fury? Seems a strange thing to get excited about, thats all. - He's just promoting himself. Nohing wrong with that. I sometimes wish Andy "Low Ticket Sales" Lee and Carl Frampton were loud-mouth self-publicists - you seem to need to be one to get anywhere these days! Look at Conor McGregor, or Shannon Briggs...:-( What I would be getting cross about is the never-ending saga of the LEE-BJS fight...
Remember Carl on the same Late Late Show? No? :verysad Neither does anyone else - cos he sat there like a tailors dummy and blew a chance to publicise himself outside of the 6 counties! Which would you prefer?
