Lewis twice barely beat the man who lost to Moorer and Ruiz, and then beat a shot to **** Tyson who went on to lose to Williams and McBride. All Lewis proved is that he is on par with John Ruiz and Danny Williams. Also Ruddock was damaged good when Lewis beat him...Tyson busted Ruddock up and finished his career.

Vitali was never 'KO'd' KO means 'knocked out' as in knocked unconscious. The only one in danger of that was Lewis. He won on a cut in a fight he was losing then refused a rematch despite promising one. He clearly knew he had a lucky night and would likely lose the rematch, despite being at his self declared best.

Tyson beat guys that Lewis never faced too...so what? You can't fight everybody.

Lewis beat aalmost everyone Tyson did except Holmes and Spinks, and he also added Holyfield, Vitali, Akinwande, Rahman, McCall (made him cry), Tua, Briggs, Mercer, Golota.

So no, there resumes are not similar.

McCall sparked Lewis, then Lewis pulled him out of rehab for the rematch, in which McCall had a public breakdown.

Lewis did nothing to make McCall cry, McCall was letting him hit him like he wasn't even there.

Call it what you want.. Lol. Rahman sparked him too. Then Lewis knocked Rahman out while he looked like he was trying to give Lennox a hug. lol

And none of those names are anything special. Except Vitali and Holyfield which goes back to the point I made earlier. About Vitali and aholyfielf being the only outstanding names on Lewis resume that are not on Tysons.

Tyson also beat Berbick, Smith, Tubbs, Stewart, Williams and even Etienne and Seldon were decent wins.

Michael Spinks was NOT a LHW when Mike took him out. At that point, he'd established himself as a very good HW.

    Do you understand?

Again, you're saying that Frank Bruno was the only opponent of Mike's, who may have been rated in the top ten today?

Forget stuttering, READ the following piece of information carefully. Read it, and let it sink in:

A 43 year old Tony Thompson who's best win is Solis, is rated at number 9 in today's rankings.

    Do you understand?

Tyson Fury who has done nothing as yet, is considered the 3rd/4th best HW on the planet by every major boxing publication as well as all of the online boxing sites and forums. He's universally recognised as one of the top guys.

    Do you understand?

So Thompson is rated at 9, Fury between 3-4, yet you're adamant that if the likes of Spinks and Holmes were active today, they WOULDN'T be in today's top ten?

    Stop being ridiculous!

Of course they'd have been in it. Even a faded version of Larry would be considered one of the best HW's in the world.

How would Spinks not be in the top 10, when a guy like Pulev is there?

    Sort yourself out.

I like Lewis and think he is top 3 ATG, but:
Holyfield wasn`t prime against Lewis both time. First match was robbery, but official its draw.
Tyson was past prime as well.
    He never Ko`d Vitali.
Mercer was robbed against Lewis, so better not give that match for example how good Lewis was. This match was in the best way a draw.
Wladimir destroy Mercer and was the first man to stop him.
As well Lewis duck southpaw big time in his whole career, he face only 1 in the begining on his career.
He duck Byrd big time and he even vacated the IBF title ....
And his avenge loss again McCall was a f**** theater .
He have better resume then Tyson, but he didnt beat much good boxer at their prime. He beat great guy who was past their prime.
Still in the ATG H2H he is probably number 1. His skills was insane and i dont see much guy who can beat him.

Spinks fought 6 total fights at HW out of 33 fight career that started at Middleweight. A past it Holmes, and non stellar Gerry ****ey before Tyson. Tell me again how he "established" himself as a very good Heavyweight. Better yet continue to lie to yourself that Spinks was anything more than a blown up LHW

Reiterating an old article, simply does not work,a slow guy with little defensive skills is not winning here, its that simple.tysons power, hand speed and defense easily wins this..what exactly did foreman do better than take a punch in the 90's?

Ali, Foreman, Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, both K-Bros all do the job I would say.

I can't remember another boxer that has had so many excuses made up for him. You are judged on what you DO, not what you should have done. Tyson was a very good fighter, but he does not deserve to be called one of the best ever

That rational doesn't work, if Tyson isnt one of the best ever, then please explain why? When you take your bias out of it and look at his Championship run objectively, there is no way he isnt in the top 10, every fighter has excuses made for them, you just dont want to hear them when it comes to a fighter you dont like i.e. Tyson..
