    Terence Crawford. 26-0, 18Ko's. He's very good.

The bottom line is this, international competition has most of the stars now, not the USA. Why is debatable. They used to say it was only in the heavyweight division. That is not the case anymore.

ideally someone needed to beat Floyd or pac, who's young and marketable. Then they could take over as next ppv star. Without that happening its hard to see an obvious star coming through.

Top rank may want Crawford to beat pac in order to create some hype about him.

122k followers is not superstar material.

Floyd Mayweather has 7.9 million followers on Instagram, 6.4 million on Twitter and 11 million likes on Facebook. This is higher than the likes of Serena Williams and more than any other combat fighter.

Idk, I'd say Mayweather exceeds that rule. If fighters use their fists AND social media, then they can put themselves on the road to be crossover stars.

Mayweather has 7.9 million followers on Instagram, 6.4 million on Twitter and 11 million likes on Facebook.

His name is known across America and the western world (including most European countries). He's definitely known here in the UK after beating Hatton.

He is by all means, a mainstream star who has transcended the sport. The May-Pac fight, whatever you think of it, did further cement his name in public consciousness. Casuals wanted to watch the fight because they already knew who he was.

Canelo Alvarez - has a good shot especially if he can beat Cotto or even GGG if he can beat those two guys I think its him it may be him even if he beats just Cotto youth is definitely on his side

Gennady Golovkin - I can see him blowing up has a big Eastern European & Mexican fanbase and a very crowd pleasing style only issue is hes 33 already not sure how much he has left he needs to fight big big names like Cotto Alvarez & Ward asap

Deontay Wilder - Has the charisma is exciting and more importantly he is a U.S Heavyweight I think only thing he really needs to do is beat Klistschko (which is not the easiest thing to do) to be the true champion

Amir Khan - Has a fan pleasing style, has a huge ****stian/British following he just needs to keep winning against big names and forget about Mayweather if he fights Brook in UK that would be a great start, then possible Pacquiao in 2016

Leo Santa Cruz - If he keeps having fights like his last outing he has a chance to be a real start on a Barrera/Morales type level

These other fighters have a shot as well

Andre Ward - I think he is defintley #p4p talent the only thing holding him back is his personality, and its hard to market a "good guy" that is american these days

Terrence Crawford - He has a huge following in Nebraska has a somewhat fan fav style even though hes a counter puncher he would need to win big against Pacquiao in some passing of the tourch matchup

Danny Garcia - He has a good resume I honestly think if he adopted a "bad boy" Hector Camacho/Mayweather Image he could help his popularity cause people would simply pay to see him lose

Micky Garcia - Needs to be active

Adrien Broner - He can market himself he just needs to win consistency against top level opposition but I'm not sure if he can

the average person on the street has bever heard of him, nor any active boxer. they aren't mentioned nor asked to guest on tv shows. outside the ghettos in america, he is less known than millard fillmore.

I follow Tom and the GGG account, but that's not GGG. It's his promotion, and it's pretty obvious lol. Same with "his" Instagram. That's not good enough to reach fans. The fighter's have to personalize it themselves. I don't think Mayweather uses his, but he at least plays it off like he does. Plus, he will use it himself occasionally.

Example, Manny had an Instagram a year ago and only his promotional company used it. He had like 120K followers. Then, Manny decided to use it himself and now he has like 2.6 million.

Not true. Everyone seems to know who Mayweather is. They might not like him, but they know him. I haven't met a single person who doesn't know who Mayweather is. Even if they don't what he does, they recognize the name.

The average person HAS heard of him. Is he Mike Tyson level famous? No, but it was largely those 'average' people on the street who made the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight so big.

He is undoubtedly a mainstream athlete in the western world.
