    In all honesty, a fight with GGG does little for his legacy and less for his bank account than would rematches against Pac, Cotto, or Canelo. It makes more sense to fight one of the 3 cash cows again, rather than an unproven and potentially dangerous commodity like Golovkin.

    Has Mayweather ever been the underdog in a fight? Golovkin would be the first in donkey's years either way to be the betting favorite?

    I'm not sure that Golovkin would be favored against Floyd, especially since the bout would take place somewhere between 148 and 152.

    Regardless, this has nothing to do with what's best for Floyd's legacy and potential earnings.

    But on a similar note, when was the last time GGG was an underdog?

    40% to Uncle Sam. Well maybe 35% because he lives in Nevada. Then he has to pay for the lifestyle, security and large entourage. When Floyd does retire alot of those hanger ons wont be needed anymore. Then they will get mad and try and rob Floyd. :(

    Golovkin would look like a skeleton if he were to try and drain himself down to 152. 148? He would collapse before the ringwalk.

    If history is any indication, you'd have to say the Pac rematch would do best, and then probably the Canelo fight.

    Who knows, though? Maybe Golovkin-Lemieux will shock the boxing world and do 1.5 million buys. Something unforeseen like that can shake things up a good deal, and perhaps make Golovkin a viable candidate.

    I don't think Golovkin-Lemieux will do that well, however. But we will know soon enough.

    As I said in another thread recently, the fight would only happen at 150, and at that weight Floyd would thoroughly outclass Golovkin, who would resemble a starving malnourished White Walker.

    Floyd would earn a lot of kudos for fighting GGG and somewhat remove his cherry picker reputation. Boxing historians will recognise a win over GGG for a middleweight crown as a much bigger win than beating Pacquiao again
