Not counting Tyson-Douglas, what do you see as boxing biggest ever upset?

If Floyd loses to Berto, he will need to retire. Berto is so one dimensional.

    All of the list

    For me
    Holyfield - Tyson
    Spinks - Ali

Others not as massive upsets, but at the time they were to me.
    Laing - Duran
    Toney - Nunn
    Randall - Chavez
Calzaghe - Lacy (thought Lacy was going to smash him to bits, Almost put a lot of money on him)
    Moyorga - Forrest

Moorer vs foreman...not because the actual ability of foreman to k.o him but he was getting schooled and battered throughout the fight, and 2 rounds away from losing....with one shot from a one two combo,he k.od a much younger prime fighter and became the oldest HW champ ever,in a fight he would most likely lose 90% of the time after that one.

I don't see any mention on this thread of the tremendous upset when Jim Braddock came from nowhere to become the world heavyweight champion by winning a decision in a fifteen-round bout with Max Baer. Many people thought that Braddock's victory over Baer was the greatest upset in boxing history for many decades. It may be that Buster Douglas' upset win over Mike Tyson resulted in the Braddock-Baer upset to be virtually forgotten.

    Not really.
It went off at 7 or 8 to 1.
That is an upset but not huge.
Contrast that to Tyson-Douglas at 42 to 1.

Off 62 poll boxing writers only 2 picked Ali.

Plus there was the manner of the defeat

Leonard v Hagler registered on the richter scale at the time, it was huge.
Randall v Chavez was another shocker, although neither fighter was that well known to the casuals so it didn't make the splash it should've. What shocked me more was Randall repeating the ass kicking in the re-match.
I think Mayweathers an accident waiting to happen now, although that won't be so much of a surprise because of his age.
Tarver v Jones 2, K.O 2, who saw that one coming!

Tarver - Jones II. Obviously now people don't find it surprising at all but then when Roy was still P4P #1 and untouchable it was a complete and utter shock. I actually rooted for Tarver in both fights, just wanted to see Roy knocked off his pedestal honestly but was utterly shocked by that knockout. Jones should have never went down in weight or given Tarver a rematch

Also one thing I never expected was Hearns knocking Duran out let alone in the 2nd round. Duran was always so durable even at the higher weights didn't expect a blowout at all.
