Just goes to show Frazier's chin is under-rated considering Cummings couldn't put a rusty as hell, 1981 Frazier in la la land.
But how hurt you get and how quickly you recover depends on the individual and Bruno didn't score well in those categories. So yes I'd say Lewis was more durable overall.
Pretty decent response .. Bruno was not flattened but took many shots and tended to freeze up and not know how to clinch and survive till later in his career .. he took bombs from Bonecrusher, Witherspoon and Tyson and then was stopped ..
Bruno. He never was knocked out by garbage fighters like Rahman or Mccall. Honorable mention practically the featherfisted Akinwande could knock down Lewis.
Probably Bruno, he was hit far cleaner and stood up to some heavy punches, late in Lewis's career he was rarely hitten cleanly or if he was just by a single punch and would get out of harms way, he took some decent punches from prime Shannon Briggs, Mercer, Holyfield. He didn't get hit much by Tyson or Tua. Bruno had horrible stamina and seemed to panic if he got punched a couple of times, is a really hard call honestly. I'd lean toward Bruno by a slight margin because we actually seen him get hit really cleanly a lot unlike a late career Lewis
I would say its about even but Bruno didn't really have a big chin problem his problem was when he got hit big he never knew how to hold or cover up he would just go into meltdown. Lewis had a better chin that people think he got complacent in both knockout losses. You don't fight that many top heavyweights in that career by having a glass chin
Lewis. Lennox Lewis got punched in the head about 5,000 times in his career, only two of those punches ever put him down. And he got up from one of those TWO punches and was on his feet complaining that the ref stopped it. Basically, if you didn't stop Lennox Lewis with ONE PUNCH ... you didn't win. So Lewis.
You are on about the 6' 7", 86" reach 238lb Akinwande who got thrown out for holding in 5 rounds? Or have you invented a different one? Notice those stats unclean termite, for the next time you talk shyte about the chinless Klitchko.:rofl:rofl
lewis really Bruno crumbled too often - although notably only really against the very best, not to shot2shyte failures.
I didn't realize Rahman and McCall were "shot" when they scored their lone, one-punch wins? Lewis had the better chin. He fought much better opposition. There is no Mercer, Morrison, Tua, Mason, Klitschko, Ruddock, Rahman, Golota or Weaver on Bruno's record. Just a lot of wins over the likes of Quick Tillis and Carl Williams. Even people like Jumbo Cummings had Bruno all but out. Bruno was basically stopped or hurt badly any time he faced a guy in the top 10. And he could never avenge his losses.
