So you don't think Alvarez had disadvantages for fighting a guy like Mayweather and are claiming that Pacquiao had no advantages, being bigger and stronger isn't the be all and end all of beating a guy

Of course Alvarez has physical disadvantages against Mayweather. That's why his choice of tactics against Mayweather was puzzling to say the least. If you are slower and not as technically proficient but also bigger and stronger than your opponent, it seems to me that you would go after your opponent and not try to outbox them. Pac made the best fight he could, Alvarez could have made a better fight.

Sorry for getting confused and laughing you off, I read it wrong. Are you saying Alvarez did worse than Pacquiao because he was bigger than him so it was a worse performance or are you saying Pacquiao did better than Alvarez because he had less advantages than Alvarez? Cause Pacquiao is much better suited to beat Floyd than Alvarez ever will be, Pacquiao did not use his advantages very well, Alvarez didn't use his, they were both as naive as eachother.

Alvarez has nothing for floyd. Just shows how great floyd is since alvarez might be on the verge of becoming the next middleweight champ. It really shows a lot when GGG is about to get his best wins over 2 guys (canelo and cotto) that May (and pac) have already beaten.

Alvarez isnt green at all he has plenty fights.

Manny and roach tried to cherry pick floyd and it stung them

I'm saying Pac did the best he could given his physical limitations but Alvarez could have made it a better fight, ala Maidana, but didn't for some reason. Neither would ever beat Mayweather but Alvarez could had done better.

Alvarez has never really been a pressure fighter, he has imposed his size to good effect when he was weight cutting enormously but Mayweather has seen that before, he tried to outbox the master boxer and plodded around the ring and even got walked down by the much smaller guy, it was like godzilla fighitng a harrier jump jet  He didn't know how to set himself and swung like he had a stone arm or something. Pacquiao can't put on a ten pound weight advantage as he can't really fight inside and it would've been useless, he was utterly ineffective on the ropes trying to break his defense open and in the centre of the ring he just focused on reducing Floyd's accuracy, he didn't fall for many traps but he also didn't land very much of his own... it was a chess match but only one guy knew what the end game was, Pacquiao was lost in the clouds. He didn't use anything he is renowned for, he showed us he could avoid getting hit and beat Floyd to the counter on a few occasions, one of them almost changed the fight around in 4 but he didn't know how to capitalize.

I agree with everything you said with the exception that Pac almost changed the fight in the fourth round. Mayweather was moving back when Pac hit him and wasn't hurt. In fact, Pac followed him to the ropes and then backed off when he saw that his flurries were having no impact. Pac had two choices of how to fight Mayweather. Fight his usual aggressive fight and take the chance of being hurt badly by a counter right hand or check hook or fight cautiously and try to counter Mayweather. Either way he was going to lose.

People underestimate Floyd as well many fighters would of fold against Pac in the fourth/sixth rounds thats the point Pac imposes his will on fighters but floyd managed to outbox Pac and win.
