Fights should be scored after the replay is watched and an*lysed

Look here for example when they vote here on who they think won 9/10 the fans get it right i think this a good idea

 

It'd be fun to look at who they voted for but not an official decision, it'd be abused, just like current judging.

Agreed. I've only watched the fight once but thought Lara started strong, but became less effective later in the fight and Canelo did good body work and edged it.

 

You could certainly pick a better example than Canelo-Lara for a robbery. Hell, Lara himself has been robbed worse(PWilly).

There are also better ways to improve scoring than watching it on replay, which would completely short-circuit any excitement or anticipation, or letting fans vote which would be a farce as it would simply become a popularity contest.

 

TS has a point, it would put an end to bad decisions, maybe.

There's only ever been maybe one or two fights that I've ever "changed" my score for a round upon rewatching where the result changed from a close win to a draw or from a draw to a close win...

If this happens more than once every few years for you personally, than you are the problem, not everyone else.

 

No it wouldn't.

It would allow for the monitoring of public perception. Scoring would become reactionary.

And if you fancy money being exchanged for bad scores routinely, then this would give them another 24 hours to line pockets.

Na 6 blokes, picked independently, scoring the fight immediately after it ends would be a good idea.

Combine those score with the judges ringside maybe. It's a decent idea.

 

It's a horrible idea on every level.

I agree many decisions in boxing are bad. We all agree on that. But it's the same with all sports judged by the beholders' eye (gymnastics, figure skating, sync'd swimming, etc.).
