Brook has some serious talent, but need to see him in with better comp than Porter. Has decent power too, not big power, but humbling type, similar to Mayweather.

Interesting match up probably would lean towards Canelo based on what he did there.

Brook schools CANelo all day long, probably knocks him out. Remember, not only is Brook the far superior boxer he also hits much harder than ginger just ask Matthew Hatton.

Canelo is pure HBO hype and should have losses to Lara and Trout

 

Brook is already at his peak and doesn't have any name on his resume that really sticks out. Canelo is not yet prime and already has wins over Lara, Trout and pretty soon Cotto.

Based on resume, Canelo is more special than the "special one".

 

A lot of people, if not most people believe that Canelo lost vs both Trout and Lara. He also got schooled by PBF much worse than many opponents he faced recently.

Also I'm pretty sure Porter is as good as a lot of people on Saul's resume, I'm not saying he's a hypejob but I think this is closer than most people woudl think between Brook and Canelo.

 

Agree I think brook would nick it his timing of punches is only 2nd to mayweather.

 

Wouldn't say there is much between them p4p but Alvarez is a lot bigger and would stop him late. There is no point saying he is a huge welter like canelo was as canelo was a baby when he was at welter. Brook is late 20s and can still make welter. Canelo could box at 168 and not look too small
