I think that the Floyd-Berto numbers will be horrible. It would not surprise me if the numbers for both PPV's will be very close.

The Pac-Floyd bout set boxing back decades among casuals, and, unless you really, really, really love Floyd you won't buy this abomination. And if you really, really, really hate Floyd you only pay in the hope of seeing him lose which isn't going to happen here. There is literally NO CHANCE of Douglas-Tyson type shocker.

Not exactly sure what GGG/Lemiux purses are but based on what I've read so far FLoyd's purse alone is $36-38 million, that already puts around 500K PPV's in the hole for that card.

On the Ticket sales angle, it seems as though GGG/Lemieu already won that battle.

It just seems like simple math to me.

I'll bump this if Floyd's on the canvas searching for his mouth piece in the 10th round.

As of this moment, 40% of respondents disagree with the majority view.

So how, pray tell, in any way, shape, or form, is this thread indicative of someone hating on Golovkin?

Why? Honest question. I've heard people pronounce his name weird.

    Some say

Gen [neigh] dy Go [loft] kin

    when it should be

Gen [nah] dy Go [love] kin

    Even some reporters do it.

    Lol!

I've never heard it said like that.

Here. At the beginning is Gennady saying his name if you want to 100% know how to pronounce it.

    GenNAWdy GoLOVEkin

    :good

I'm particular with names since so many people mess up mine.

I guess I might be getting the last name incorrect as well.

Seems close enough to me, though.

A lot of people mistake his last name the way you did as well, so no worries.

As long as you don't do what this reporter does, you'll be okay.

One of the most important rules of journalism, know your interviewee's/subjects name! So embarrassing :-(

Floyd does about 400-500k, tops. He is going to fall pretty close to but not quite as low as the Manny numbers vs the Rios and Algieri types.

GGG does ~250k , might be a smashing success at 300k.

I think the GGG will be more successful, relative to the investment and purse guarantees but a Floyd fight is still a bigger deal in absolute terms.
