For all the marbles at 126.

Two of the best fighters of their era and rated #4 and #7 respectively at 126 in our ESB rankings.
Two fighters of the highest pedigree and class.
But there can be only one.

Can 'Chava' overcome a 5" height and 4" reach disadvantage to Arguello?

Can Arfuello outbox one of the most composed fighters of modern times? Can he dent that chin?

    Salvador Sanchez?

I don't think Sanchez was 5 inches shorter than Arguello.

Anyway I'd give the slight edge to Arguello in a highly tactical fight.

I've always given Arguello the edge too.

Sanchez was 5'7", Arguello 5'9"..............manageable difference for either guy.

Oh I don't know really.............at 126 I guess I like Sanchez, as I think he was probably a little more of a finished product there. Any higher though, I like Arguello.

126, Sanchez wins by a wide margin, more complete, any other weight Arguello handles him.

I've always seen Arguello listed at 5'10" (except for a couple of fights). I think that they pull these numbers out of a hat.

If we're counting the 'fro, Sanchez has him by a good couple inches. Like the mane of the frilled lizard, it both intimidates and hypnotizes the prey.

Sanchez would have beaten Arguello by a clear margin at 126. He was the best featherweight of the last 50 years.
