It seems that, to me at least, the NSAC is actually exhibiting professionalism and integrity throughout all of this. The USADA that seems to be lacking integrity as far as I can tell. The NSAC was correct in denying Pac the shot if he misfiled the paperwork, and he has nobody but himself to blame. The NSAC also seems to have taken issue with the USADA overstepping their bounds and deviating from standard protocol regarding the circumstances of the IV-gate situation.
NSAC still accepted the TUE 3 weeks after the procedure and refused Pacquiao's because his request wasn't timely. They're being just as hypocritical but they're not going to side with USADA in this and risk their credibility even though both commitees are in the wrong.
Hmm, not sure. The two scenarios are A) USADA sidestepped their boundaries and issued a TUE (even though it was invalid since only NSAC commission can) and NSAC reprimanded USADA saying they can't issue TUE's and let it go never validating it. (In which a TUE was never truly filed for Mayweather). B) USADA sidestepped their boundaries, issued a TUE that they could not issue (still invalid) and when NSAC heard about three weeks late, they reprimanded USADA but signed of the TUE making it valid 3 weeks late. A is bad because that means Mayweather never truly got a TUE. B is bad because that means Mayweather was exempted 3 weeks after the fight by NSAC but they wouldn't exempt Pacquiao before the fight.
Makes sense. :good My understanding was situation A, but I admit I haven't been paying the closest attention to details. :smoke
NSAC granted the TUE 18 days after the fight, same NSAC that did not authorize Manny to use a painkiller because "it was not made in a timely manner, and he had not previously disclosed the injury." That's why I said Pac should've just go ahead with the injection and apply for a TUE 3 weeks after the fight. Apparently 3 weeks after the fight is somehow more timely than 1 day before the fight.
Okay, so NSAC did grant it late. So, situation B. That means USADA and NSAC did some shady things. Depressing. I feel bad for Pac. This has got to gut him.
That shot would of been impossible anyway because Manny is scared of needles remember? especially the day of the fight, it make him weak and thats why he loss to Morales
I wish he'd got the shot because he still would've been beat 9-3 if that was Roach's grand strategy and that was how Pacquiao reacted to getting punched off him and realizing he wasn't faster than Floyd.
What you fail to mention however is that Floyd requested the TUE in advance of the fight...as in properly
I'm glad he didn't. He was going to get the rematch anyways, so if we would've gotten the shot, it probably would've hurt his shoulder more or ruined it for good.
this could have long term consequences with other boxers. now any boxer can flush his system out before the fight, and if he gets caught, he can apply for a tue after the fight. if he doesnt get it and is facing punishment, he can claim precedent and take it court for unfair treatment from nsac.
Wrong, you clearly haven't read any of the information, he requested it after the weigh in, as in before the fight.
Because the lying POS claimed he had no injury. Why would he ask for a shot in his shoulder that her certified was uninjured
