Kings all the way...!!! I grew up in a hockey / boxing loving family. We had Fabulous Forum Tickets (tickets to all sports at the Forum in LA)...my uncle took the Lakers games, my family took boxing and hockey. My dad was a member of the Ringsiders' Club and the Crown Club...!!!
Boxing will always be my first love...!!! My life long dreams were to go to the Marine Corps, and then be a pro boxer, followed by a trainer...!!! One of three came true...!!!
I'm thinking about doing a thread about how CJ Ross was right in her scoring of Mayweather/Canelo, I just rewatched it, and Mayweather only hit Canelo around 120 times, not the over 200 that Compubox states, most of the rounds were competitive with Floyd landing the sharper cleaner punches and Canelo landing a few here and there and then pinning him and unleashing a flurry here and there. Canelo won 4 rounds but there were several others that were fairly close and may have gone either way. Although I'd run the risk of losing all credibility on here, you can make an argument CJ Ross wasn't far off.:deal
There is a boxing judge that wrote an article stating how during a fight, in one of the rounds the action took place primarily on the other side of the ring, and his view was obstructed by the ref's ass for over 2 minutes...He claimed in the minute of action he saw, he scored the round 10-9; the other two judges saw the whole round clearly and both had the round 10-9 for the other guy...I can not recall the judge (somewhat famous guy in a big fight)...!!! So when judges do score a round for the obvious loser of the round, I try to take into consideration things like: was their view obstructed, did they miss a scoring punch, etc...!!! Do a thread on judges that scores are not on everyone else's radar...!!!
9-11 today, kinda sad already. But anyways 9/11 - Errol Spence Jr. vs. Chris van Heerden - 10x3 9/11 - Adonis Stevenson vs. Tommy Karpency - 12x3 WBC World Light Heavyweight Title 9/11 - Oscar Valdez vs. Chris Avalos - 10x3 Spence Jr KO Stevenson KO Valdez KO
:good Will be updated...!!! We miss you Kirk...!!! Come join in on our fun and sometimes demented conversations, sometime...!!!
That might be a good idea acytually. But as far Canelo/Mayweather goes forget CJ Ross' score let's focus on Metcalfe and Moretti. Moretti gave Canelo 3,9,11,12 Metcalfe gave Canelo 2,10,12 That's 6 different rounds right there, so if you combined their scorecards of the rounds they gave to Canelo it comes out to a draw too.:deal
