Kevin Johnson is a retired Heavyweight with a 29-7-1 14 KO's 1 KO loss record. Born on 09-07-1979 he stands 6'3 with a reach if 82 inches. He was born in the home of the Boss Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA and currently living in Atlanta, GA. I figured I'd dedicate a thread to one of the many unheralded guys in the sport the quintessential journeyman Kevin Johnson, was he great, not really, was he good, yeah a little bit at times, but what he had going for him was a damn good chin (or was it not getting hit), and he knew how to go the distance, well he did until he ran into and was savagely bulldozed in 2 by Anthony Joshua, but before that he impressively went the distance with Dr. Iron Fist himself Vitali Klitschko, Delboy Chisora, Tyson Fury, Manuel Charr, Christian Hammer, and the oh so terrifying Tor Hamer. As far as wins go he handed Alex Leapai his second KO loss softening his ass up for Wladimir, and he handed almost Deontay slayer Harold Sconiers his 23rd loss by KO1, although impressively he did draw with Timur Ibragimov when he was at the time unbeaten. He's not spectacular in any way, but he is a really good ****talker, and he's exceptional at surviving he laid on the ropes a lot and played rope a dope without punching back too often, he bobs, he weaves, he rolls, he slides, he slips many punches but unlike Floyd Mayweather he just stands there looking at his opponent waiting to slip another one, so he wouldn't need his trusty cutman moparfan to use an enswell or too much petroleum jelly on him. So please take the time and pay tribute to one of the guys who make it possible for up and coming badass fighters to pad their records, until they finally get to an opponent who'll punch back. This is Kevin KJ Johnson meet the The Kingpin Of The Journeymen.:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb

Johnson could have been a very good fighter, he had all the tools, esp. a really good jab, but he would go into his shell for some reason, I guess he did not train much, who knows?

I think doing a thread about him now is a bit weird.
Like mentioned he recently retired after losing 6 of his last 7 and looking terrible in the his last couple fights.

Sure it wasn't Kingpin himself, because he doesn't apply pressure

Wow, resorting to making threads now about absolute garbage fighters on the decline of their career, bravo, thanks for bringing this to light!

****py fighter, comes not to win but to see how long he can go in a fight without getting knocked out, and he's good at that so you have to give it to him.

I'll certainly not watch his entire career, I've had enough displeasure in watching his fights live and I do not wish to repeat the experience.

Surely, there are better fighters to do a thread on, go for the classics, some fighters like Lora, Canizales, Arbachakov, Canto, Calderon.... Lesser known guys, these guys are far worthier.
