After Joshua destroys Cormish are the AJ fans going to act surprised and impressed?

He's beaten complete and utter defenceless bums. How can beating those kind of fighters prove you are ready to be champ? and be in the top 20 rankings?

He got beaten in the olympics, but won the decision by the british judges.

Got beaten in the amateurs, clearly roided to the high heavens and we're meant to believe he's betting favourite against real fighters.

We got people on here saying he's going to wipe the floor with Dillian Whyte, when they're both at the same level - prospects who've beaten bums who they were suppose to beat.

The same **** happened with Fraudley, and Price, but the fanboys never learn, joshua has shown similar weaknesses but they've been ignored.

He doesn't like to be hit, is a stiff and is now getting to the point of believing his own hype.

 

The Heavyweight division is such as that flattening Johnson does get you a top 20 place.

To a degree you are right about Whyte and Joshua, so you need to look at them and make a judgement. And on the evidence I have seen, I think Joshua is further along in his development

Part of the fun of boxing is picking the young Heavyweight who is going to make it. I did not think Audley was the real deal, but was being sold on Price.

It is a lot easier to pick holes in fighters, than make a judgement on who you think will develop in a top level fighter.

He has not been hit, and does look a bit stiff, but he looks a lot better than Lewis did early in his career, and Lenny The Lion did not do too bad...

 

The only difference between joshua and whyte is that joshua has been backed by Sky and matchroom while Dillian hasn't.

btw joshua has been wobbled plenty of times in the amateurs and in the Olympics with fully padded protected headgear.

 

That is good thing about it, we all have our opinion and hopefully by the end of the year we will have a definitive answer. You maybe right, I have picked many a shocker in my time, but for the moment I am riding on the Joshua bandwagon against Cornish and Whyte.

 

Fair enough, we shall see with time who is right or wrong. Will be interesting.

 

At least Joshua is being kept busy and facing some ranked opposition. I think Hearn knows that next year he needs to step Joshua up to somewhere near Euro level.

As for Cornish I have a feeling he's going to freeze and get blasted out in a round. I hope not as Joshua desperately needs rounds and someone to at least throw back occasionally.

Bakhtov was euro level & in my opinion Joshua's biggest test to date, Whyte will be a bigger test.

I don't see many threads asking why Whyte is fighting a cruiserweight as a warm up for AJ...at least Cornish is a lump.

Minto is as good opponent as can be risked at this stage for Whyte. He will hopefully go a few rounds and pose a few problems for Whyte. Because if Joshua/Whyte does happen as scheduled; Whyte is going to have to rise his performance to a level we have not yet seen if he wants to win, so best to start getting some practice in, rather than just another blow out.

 

How many rounds would people expect Minto to go with Joshua ?
