This is an absolute disgrace, Khan is ducking the entire Welterweight division.

Look at the guys out there he can fight - Thurman, Brook, Bradley, Porter, Garciax2 and he faces a JWW.

Khan is the biggest joke in boxing.

    :good

Yep, spot on, after over 2 years of telling the world Mayweather is frightened to fight him he is trying to serve up Provodinkov.

A LIGHHT WELTERWEIGHT who has lost 3 OF HIS LAST 5 FIGHTS :rofl

Khan wants to back track on this rather quickly in my opinion.

lets be realistic - khan wans to stay busy - and most other fighters are booked up for fights this year

    brook fighting chaves
    Bradley fighting rios
    maidana taking time out

only realistic other option is Garcia
although they have backed out of this fight more times than anything and angel has said no

Provodnikov is a light welterweight and has LOST 3 OF HIS LAST 5.

Nobody said Chaves was a great opponent, even the most hardcore a Brook fans were not overly happy, people wanted a Bradley or Thurman but mostly KHAN but KHAN ducked Brook, that can't be denied any longer.

Khan has banged on for over two years about beating the P4P number 1 and you lot banged the drum for him, over 3 years since he fought a top 10 opponent at any weight and the best you can say or do when they start suggesting this type of opponent is dig out Brooks opponent and make a list of top opponents...

you are a joke just like your idol :yep

Let's stop that right there, Khan could have fought Brook, we wouldn't be watching Brook Vs Chaves instead it would have been Brook Vs Khan.

Who decided to make every excuse possible not to take that fight?

    Enough said.

only way i see Prov gettin stopped is on cuts or if the corner pull him out.

Khan is more than capable of being Ko'd in this fight IMO.

He should be able to dance rings round him and mess him up completely for the opening 7/8 rnds. If Prov is smart he goes straight infor the body and doesnt stop pounding it for the first 5 rnds. then Khans chin will be there to hit.

As i said otherwise it will be a shut out for Khan

Prod has lost 3 of his last 5 but he was a punch away from beating Bradders, had Lucas hurt more than once and you could argue he beat Algeri. Even with him coming up to 147 its a dangerous fight for Khan cause Prod will still have the power and strength to beat him.

I actually think this is still a rebuild fight for Khan under Hunter. They have beaten a couple of journeyman level fighters then stepped up to decent world class fighters like Alexander and Algeri now they are trying to go for a guy who can punch.

If he beats Prod comfortably I wouldn't mind betting he starts calling Garcia out. I want him to fight Garcia or Thurman or Brook or Bradley all big money win win fighters. If he lost to any of those guys his career takes a hit but he could still come back at a decent level.

AS it is im not too disappointed if this fight happens its better than another non puncher. As prods style is Khans kryptonite so its a brave choice if it happens
