Golovkin is taller than Mike Tyson, has a longer reach. If he bulks up to HW, why would he lose to Kevin McBride?

I thought Mike was a tubby kid, which was why he bullied as a kid? This changed as he grew up obviously.

 

We are talking about boxing. It happens, that people move to other weight classes. Adamek started as a MW, fought in SMW and LHW as a pro and moved up eventually to HW where he did a decent job. No elite, but he reached his limits and entertained us.

So again, why would Golovkin not do, what dozens of others did?

Educate yourself about boxing!! Visit gyms, talk to people, read magazines, boxing history etc.

 

FWIW, I think GGG has 70" reach and Mike has a 71" reach. I mean, it doesn't even come close to mattering but, ya know...for the record. Also, I think they are both 5'10". Of course, Mike would be packing an additional 50+ pounds of pure muscle mass but who's counting?

We don't even know how GGG would perform at 168 but hey let's muse on the idea that he could gain 50 pounds of muscle and dominate the heavy weight division.

 

We are not talking about dominating. He dominates already 154-168. We are talking about im beating Kevin McBride and Mike Tyson, whois not proofen at elite level. He was beaten by the likes of Lennox, Evander, etc. with ease.

You seriously think Golovkin, who comes in at 160 without trouble at age 33, has the frame to pack on 50 more pounds of muscle? He's the same height as Tyson but Tyson is a genetic freak of nature. Golovkin could possibly get to over 200 lbs but it would involve a lot of steroids and who knows how the hell he would perform that far away from the only weight class he's ever fought at.
