That is not the point, we know that.

a light welterweight who has lost 3 of his last 5, come on critix just be honest it is a p*** poor opponent choice if it happens.

Over 2 years of telling the world he beats the P4P number 1, not one top ten opponent in over 3 years, turns down Brook AGAIN and serves up a LWW who has lost 3 of his last 5.

if khan has a glass jaw then ruslan will probably ko him so how is this a bad fight irregardless of what he has done in his last 5 fights?

ruslan punches harder than algeiri, alexander, erc.

Another LWW who is on a poor run and you try and justify it

Fine, I can't believe you would defend this opponent choice, you are losing any credibility you had in my opinion.

But it's all about opinions and it goes without saying we are all entitled to them.

    Have a great weekend :good

Provodnikov is an exciting fighter but he's not that good. He's a name builder type of opponent for boxers trying to get a win over a known fighter who people like to watch. He'd be a good fight for Brook to build his popularity in America and it would be an exciting (although easy) fight for Brook.

Khan doesn't need these fights now, he's past that, he needs real competition. He'll probably be fighting Danny Garcia for the vacant WBC World title in Nov/Dec, since he's ranked #1 and Garcia #2 and they are both Haymon fighters.

I agree I also wanted to see Khan fight Garcia next, or Thurman..

But I think ShowTime are putting this fight together.. its not bad but not something I wanted to see..

    Khan needs real fights..

Brook is only booked up because Khan turned down a career-high purse to face him.

Don't like nor dislike Khan, but I don't really have much of an issue with this fight.

People like to moan about him avoiding punchers, so he fights one (ok yeah he's lost 3 of his last 5, but as has been said he's been involved with good company) and people still moan.

The only thing that ****es me off about Khan is that he keeps moving the goal posts with Brook. One minute Brook has to be a world champion to get the fight, he has to beat a big name to get the fight, he has to be a household name in America to get the fight... the next excuse will be that Brook has to drive round Silverstone in a Fiat 500 in under 2 minutes.

If he wants to earn big money, win a world title at Welterweight and boost is legacy in a massive UK fight that would sell out a stadium... then fight Kell Brook.

Fear of losing is preventing it.

    Fair play :good

Maybe I should have just asked

it's an awful fight, Brook Vs Chaves is also very poor in my opinion.

They both deserve hammer, but in fairness Khan hasn't signed this yet so it's all if's and rumours at the moment, Brook Chaves is signed sealed and unfortunately going to be delivered.

    :good Superb post

my only issue with it is Khan would probably insist the Fiat has three wheels.
