When he started he was seen as a top prospect.. the best Uk prospect

then when degale started looking good against carl dilks, paul smith etc and groves got dropped against kenny anderson. The degale fight got made.. and apparently it was a mismatch lol and george had no chance and it wouldnt go 6 rounds,

after the degale fight he was seen as a good prospect

then the froch 1 fight was made, and again groves was written off, saying it was too soon, a mismatch, hed get done in 4 rounds etc

But after his performance in the Froch 1 fight ...he was heralded as the future of british boxing!!!! everyone was excited about him

then iafter froch 2 he was written off a bit again with suspicions over his chin

then in his next 2 fights hes been called a shot past it fighter damaged by the froch fights

it'll be interesting to see how the ever changing perception of groves wlll be after the jack fight

i believe it will be 1 of 2 extremes
he'll eother KO jack real quick and be seen as the future of british boxing again

or he'll himself get KO'd real quick and be told to retire

He's 27 years old. He's not shot or anything close to it. People are just so quick these days to jump to conclusions on the back of one fight. He didn't even look bad against Rebrasse who is a good 11-20 level fighter. I'm a big Froch fan and was delighted when he flattened Groves second time around. But Groves has the tools to beat this guy and be competitive with anyone at 168 probably bar Ward. Jack isn't a massive puncher. If Groves loses he can come again, at least at European level, though whether he'd want to probably depends what he's done with the money from the Froch fights.

Home alone boy is fairly decent, but he will never be a great champion and he knows it

He's a good fighter and think he can beat jack. But he's probably a mitchell type the lack of durability will never see him be the best of the division. But talented.

sounds like he had some good support at the weigh in. Personally i really like groves, and he doesn't need FW or hearn to blow smoke up his ****

if groves and fury win, we will have two of our biggest champions who arn't promoted by either FW or Hearn which i think is only good for british boxing and breaks the monopoly

If he gets KO'd by Jack then that's his 3rd loss by KO in 5 fights. I think we can confidently say then that he has chin problems.

He's a really good fighter tho, underated. But seems like he has stamina and chin issues.
