One of them was a shot to **** Ouma who was a former JMW and the other was Geale who got beat up and quit against a damaged goods midget. Does that sound like a good resume to you?
No it doesn't, it's bleak. It's too bad Pirog signed but got injured and Golovkin's dad passed before the Lee fight. It's also unfortunate that Junior likes that weed so much he passed on an 8M guarantee to fight Golovkin. Come to think of it, might as well mention Froch who chose to retire over K2's offer to fight him in Nottingham. On the other hand, when you factor in the Macklin win which came on the back end of an unofficial win over Sturm and the Murray win which came on the back end of an extremely close fight with a P4P fighter in Martinez, it looks better.
Listen, I followed boxing closely in the 90s, well, since the early 90s. The 90s talent was amazing at pretty much every weight class, and the welter/middles were something else. I will say, GGG is one of the only guys in today's mix that I would say would probably have a belt back then. He is a throwback to that talent. A great, intelligent boxer/brawler, with amazing power and timing. And he's no fluke, he KO''s people because he knows how to walk them down, time his bombs and meticulously break them down. He should be named, "The Punisher." :deal
You really think so? The 90's middle and super middleweight scene consisted of Jones, Hopkins, Toney, Nunn, McCallum, Benn, Eubank, Watson, Collins, Gman, Jackson. I don't see GGG beating any of them.

GGG beat Lemieux easy, dude telegraphs punches very easy to see whats coming, this is just good promotion of a fight, this aint competitive at all.

No, I don't see him beating some of those guys however GGG is no joke. The guy's amateur record surpasses even oscar's, proving the man knows how to BOX. Amateur isn't about KOing people, its about learning to outpoint your opponents, so even without his power, this guy has amazing boxing talent. Especially considering he's not very fast and doesn't rely on speed or reflex's which makes me think he will be around for a while. But yea, he's definitely a throwback to that old school warrior in this modern day. I also think guys like Crawford, Walters and Kov are also.
