I don't even mean it as an offensive thing. I just think that along with huge skill and technique fighters have to clinch to be successful. There's a reason why Floyd has never been truly knocked down and Wlad has never touched the canvas in 10+ years.

IMO I think it's Mayweather because Wlad usually keeps guys away with his jab.

It's Wlad and it's not even close, look at the Jennings and Povetkin fights for example. His fights are a joke.

A better comparison would be Klinchko or Ruiz

Exactly.. People think every clinch is Floyd's fault.. Every tie up is a Floyd clinch.. There was a close up of Floyd in the shoulder roll and Berto grabbed him and people was like there's huggweather again...smh

Clinches have seldomly been the story of Floyd's fights...I thought he was supposedly running...which one is it? I guess I'm blind cause I see plenty of punches thrown and landed when Floyd fights

heavyweight boxing is different you dealing with big guys who can punch so clinching is more understandable

He also outlands and dominates his opponents, did you leave that part out for any particular reason?

Not denying that i am a fan of Floyd but he has always held back in his career he just does enough to get the computer points.

So what...it's his opponents job to do something about it. His opponents become helpless and this is somehow suppose to be a bad thing? The point is to render your opponent helpless, to dominate, either by score or knockout. He has mastered the score therefore making him the best at what he do. If it's so easy everyone would do it.

If his opponents become helpless so why can't he take advantage of that and be the aggressor?

The point i am making is for all his gifts he has always been afraid to take risks in the ring like many of the greats have done in the past.
