Just wanted to make this thread so that I can pull it back up when he makes his announcement that he is coming out of retirement.

    1. There is a huge pay day for a "coming out of retirement" fight, especially if its against a really big name. For any of you who know a little something about the business side of boxing you can imagine who the most likely name will be.

    2. There is no way Floyd is not going to try an beat Rocky Marciano's record. Just no way he is going to allow himself to not beat that record when it is only ONE FIGHT away.

    3. His performance/skills are and will be good enough a year or two from now to completely dominate/win a fight against a "well picked" big name....especially Pacman part 2.

He is going in retirement one more time because there is ZERO excitement for his fights after beating Manny. He will go on a long break that he is calling "retirement" for the sake of business. Someone will be calling him out the whole time he is away from the sport and then when the public gets interested in whoever and whatever it is it gets signed. Won't be as big as Pac-Floyd 1 but it will still do huge numbers and he will break Marciano's record and retire after that fight.

    :deal:deal

    See yall when this happens.

He could quite easily continue for years if he wanted.

True...he's just not going to just throw them left over bags of IV away, use them all before retiring.

Mayweather's last fight is one he will lose. Take your pick. IRS, or the Police.

He will likely be back. Depends upon how much they offer him to come back for 1 more fight. The PPV for the Berto fight is rumoured to be very bad based upon the pre-sales. If the PPV for the Cotto/Canelo fight isn't decent it could see Showtime not risk what Mayweather expects to be paid.
