Do you think they'd bulk up or be cruiserweight?

I think they'd turn pro at middleweight in Dempsey's case, light-heavyweight in Marciano's case, and cruiserweight in Frazier's case.

Yeah but Chris Byrd and Floyd Patterson turned pro at MW, that's not where they campaigned.

I think Dempsey had the stature to bulk up significantly, like Haye did.

Frazier had the stature to be a Tysonesque build.

Rocky I struggle to picture with 20 pounds of extra muscle.

I think they would probably all visit HW. After all, Huck did that. But I don't think you can exaggerate the wear and tear that style inflicts and when you are taking on guys much bigger...it's very hard.

Dempsey would hit around cruiser/Marciano was not fast at all so gaining weight is not to his benefit he fights as is and Fraziers chin would not hold up as a HW...guys would hit way harder than the likes of a Bonevena. He would be a cruiserweight to.

Dempsey was tall enough to carry and extra 20 pounds. 210-215 for Dempsey

Marciano IMO would not be better 15 pounds north of where he fought. He would lose stamina, and some speed. Not a good idea for him. Rocky's a cruiser weight today.

Frazier was much better at 200-205 than 215. Nothing past 210 for Joe.

They all would have been bigger and bulkier and, IMO, wouldn't have lost their skills given that extra weight and their era of prime.
Here's a question: What weight (along with modern technical skill) would you expect these 3 men to be 80-90 years ago?
    The Klits.
    Lewis.
    Tyson.
    etc, etc...

Well, given the fact that Marciano and Dempsey tended to fight in the 180s, and the fact that they used to weigh in the day of the fight and not 30 HOURS BEFORE the bout ... and given the fact that Peter Quillin just weighed 188 for his "MIDDLEWEIGHT" fight ... I'd say Dempsey would be a super middleweight and Rocky would be a middleweight.

Frazier weighed just over 200 for most of his career.

So Joe would be a super middleweight/light heavyweight today.

If they moved the weigh-ins to a few hours before fights, like they used to be, every champ below light heavyweight would move up at least two divisions. Maybe more.
