is like WWE, yet they don't say the same when May fights.

His fights are nothing BUT circus acts/spectacles.

Hell, might as well be pre-planned (like his speeches), too.

    1) Tell the world what an awesome fight it's going to be.
    2) Jab, Run, Pot-shot & Hold.
    3) Bore everyone to death with a boring decision.
    4) Tell the world what a young, hungry lion *insert fighter here is*

    You know it's true!

It's funny how casual fans ***** and cry about how Mayweather fight, but rarely watch non-mainstream fights. There are tons of wars in mexico, and Japan all of the time, but I'd bet OP never watches them.

I have heard more MMA fans complain about how boxing fans say that MMA is like WWE, than actual boxing fans saying that MMA is like WWE.

Look, Mayweather fights the way he fights, both fight sports have holes were you can pretty much water down a fight. I've seen MMA guys lay there on each other and take a rest mid-round. Both sports have its good and its bad, they both have their fans, it shouldn't matter to you what others say about what you like.

That's what we call sweet science, you wouldn't understand that because you prefer seeing two cavemen beat the **** out of each other with no technique, this is why MMA is NOT called the sweet science, and never will be.

I have heard that but never understood it since UFC is obviously real and not scripted.

    Sweet science? Laughable.

I've been around the sport for a LONG time, and let me tell you, Floyd is SUPER negative with his skills. He fights like an amateur now.

And anyway, you've missed the point. BOXING FANS act like MMA is like WWE, when in reality it's Boxing that is like WWE.

Both sports are in some way... they have to be. Its the only way to make either sport more marketable. Im not a professional wrestling fan, but the fact of the matter is that the WWE has set the standard for sports marketing, particularly combat sports. Creating drama around a fight just enhances the interest in the fight and the fighters themselves.

Dont speak for Boxing fans as a whole mate. Thats your OPINION on the subject, not everyone elses.

I like both but am 80/20 in favour of boxing. None are like WWE because they are REAL combat sports.

cant stand all the boxing vs MMA ****. They are two totally different sports, and both have their benefits and limitations. I especially cant stand the following rinse and repeat lines:

    "Boxing is dead"
"All MMA fighters do is hug"
    "MMA fighters have glass Jaws"
"In a fight an MMA fighter destroys a boxer"

Blah Blah Blah. Stop comparing sports.

If you dont like either one then dont watch. Or maybe write a post about the positive aspects of the sport you enjoy.

    Jeez!

We say MMA is like WWE because it is. :deal

When your product is basically a couple of guys rolling around on the ground - which is about as entertaining as watching paint dry - you have to dress it up with WWE-style macho posturing.

And it works, attracting all the mental midgets and steroid-ridden rejects who grew up on Hulk and the gang that make up the MMA fanbase.:yep

I study Chemical Engineering at USC lol and I like MMA. One of the people I work with at diamond drilling co likes MMA and he makes more than most boxers and mma fighters anyways so quit acting like you're superior to people just because you like one sport over another. That's laughable.

Well he's certainly juiced up like the WWE guys which means his recent wins are pretty much as fake as any of their's. Thats where the similarity ends

Buddy, I don't give a **** if you are literally a rocket scientist at NASA. UFC/MMA still sucks, it's still DULLER than DUST watching a couple of guys roll around on the ground (which is why they have to dress it up with WWE-style hype), and the fanbase is still largely white trash skinheads who can't rub two sticks together.

And these same nimrods are so clueless that they have the nerve to disrespect a real sport like boxing because basically, they're too limited to understand its nuances. So let them enjoy the Hulkster's not-so-distant cousins in UFC. You couldn't pay me to watch that ****.:-(
