I know what he's saying is the truth. I believe Ward wants this fight and tried to make it but for whatever reason team GGG doesn't want the fight.
About a minute into the video, Ward says he has the email from a fight that GGG turned down A MONTH ago, then at about 3 minutes in he says he has the email from when they offered the fight 6 or 7 MONTHS ago...!!! So what is it...??? A month, or 6-7 months ago...???
The 50-50 offer was at 164. That fight isn't happening at 168 at 50-50. If Ward won't budge off that split, he's being penny wise and pound foolish. Beating GGG makes him much more in the long run and revives his career momentum in a single fight, but he's going to have to take the short money to make it happen. GGG continues to become more popular and increase his name value. He doesn't need to cave to Andre because his bargaining position is the one that's getting stronger over time.

easy fight AND money for GGG. i respect Ward for calling GGG, it's not an easy fight for any of the two but if he's looking for greatness he should call out the champs at 175. or at least on his own weight ffs!
He probably just misspoke it happens, it's most likely 6-7 months ago, this isn't something he would lie about when GGG's team could easily tell him to post it, but I'll guarantee you that they wont.

what are those better options? the only person that would make more money than Ward is Froch and he's retired. Ward also gives GGG the chance of improving his legacy tremendously. That has to play a factor.
Ward does look awful in that video though, always hated those stupid lens-less glasses, only total tools wear that ****.
