So GGG went for an unification fight against Lemieux instead of fighting Ward. What a duck! On the other end, Ward could go for Stevenson (who called him at 168) or go for Kovalev, but prefer to be the king of 172 by fighting Smith...

Ward is simply just greater than GGG in every single possible way. More accomplished, better resume, more belts, and the fact that he legit made it into the top 5 p4p rather than knock out bums/tomato cans for recognition.

Ward already made his name when he beat up the best European boxers in the world. Couple more won't hurt. :yep

GGG is fighting Lemmy, the best fighter in his resume, who got a handout from the IBF when their previous champion had to be admitted to a mental hospital.. :rofl

Lemmy got knocked out by Patches Rubio and Joachim Alcine 3 years ago. The same Alcine who got knocked out in his next fight by Matthew ****ing Macklin and THEN by Brian Rose... :rofl

what you fail to ignore is this....this is triple ggg basically playing the role of manny quackiao in late 2009/early 2010

so yer talking about a ward fight....telling the fans you would take it and want it...yer trainer is running his mouth...yer promoter is saying "his" name too....and then yer setting up another fight behind the scenes the whole time(ie clottey)

face it...your boy is a quack....theyre essentially saying they dont want to get exposed before they get a chance to fight a smaller guy like canelo....id be much more accepting of this if theyd just man up and admit instead of lying to everyone and trying to save face

end of the day..it may be a unification fight....it may be on ppv(i guess this automatically makes it special or something)....but its still david lemieux who isnt a real champion and is rubio and alcine leftovers(think about how bad that sounds actually)

seriously ward why would he want a fight with a now nobody who recently fought a terrible opponent has no tv deal and didn't fight for 2 years especially when your asking him for 50/50 are you ****ing kidding me ward! you would be lucky to receive a 70-20 split and have him fight you at all even with that. maybe its super easy to understand why ggg and or his promoters dont want a fight with you right now.

it is easy to understand...they dont wanna risk a loss...theyve had an easy road to building his brand.....nobody oppponents who are b- level at best...and hbo paying for it and pumping him up.....now they wanna cash in.....

a loss to ward derails the gravy train...theyd be an underdog and facing a bigger guy..instead of fighting a b level mw can or a smaller guy coming up to mw

The one point I like is the part about GGG asking for 164.

Imagine what people on this forum would say if Ward said "Ill fight Braehmer, and Hopkins at 175...but Kovalev has to fight at 171"

There'd be 40 threads on it.

I would love to see that offer.

I am especially interested in the weight, location and whether the fight would be on HBO.

    Exactly.

And Golovkin is going to put ANY 160 unification over a fight with Ward. So as they are closing in on a deal w/ their first unification fight, Ward probably sends a lame offer.

    It's laughable, really.

His resume is mostly UK/European fighters who are easy styles to beat. They don't know what defense it. The stand straight forward and only know how to fight in a straight line. Lets look at a few of them. Kessler - shopworn , past victories over nobodys. Abe- a blown up middleweight. Dirrell exposed him. Froch- Best name of Ward's resume. Shopworn , S6 final postponement threw off his training camp and spent that time in New York doing nothing.

Didn't he say that about 4-5 years ago?
