If Canelo takes care of business with Cotto then refuses to give Little G a fight I will laugh. What will they do then? Finally accept Ward's offer?

After he beats Canelo? First that fight is very unlikely to happen, second who said he's going to beat him? He could have easily negotiated the numbers, but they flat out denied him.

that's why GGG turned down the offer, and is only willing to fight Ward at 164 :lol:.

They'll get the WBC belt since Canelo will be stripped and then fight Andy Lee to become full unified 160 champion.

:patsch, and GGG fans will make excuses about hwo GGG was shot when he finally grows a set to get in the ring with Ward, and someone of you delusionals will be talking about how Ward ducked GGG in his prime.

Fight Andy Lee instead of taking the biggest challenge and fighting Ward? And if he beats Lee, then what? He'll be 35 years old or pushing it still with a pretty weak resume. Don't you think it would be wasted potential for Little G?

I believe that fight is likely to happen and GGG will be in a much better position to negotiate after scoring over a million PPV buys vs Canelo. Plus it's not a "flat out denied" situation. What Loeffler says makes perfect sense.

Did everything I just said go over your head?

The offer was after Lemieux, to be signed VERYIFYING that the fight in 2016 would be after one fight and at 50/50.

But why would GGG do that when he will most likely fight Canelo as his first fight and be thrown into crossover s****om? Then the Ward fight is no longer 50/50 (not that it even is now...).

It makes sense to wait and see what happens mid-2016 and then negotiate w/ Ward instead of signing their souls away now. Because by then they can and probably will negotiate a much smaller split.

It's a question I have been asking of late.

If Canelo beats Cotto and doesn't want anything to do with Golovkin, and if BJS beats Andy Lee, who besides Ward can GGG face that would be a worthy follow up to a PPV debut? (Assuming GGG-Lem is modestly successful compared to expectations).

And if he beats Lee, he'll be the only unified champion in boxing today.

THEN, he'll move up to 168:good

Yes it is a flat out denied situation. Ward said Loeffler's team rejected it within 5minutes with even an attempt to negotiate. Loeffelr also has a tendency to be a liar, and try and make it look like GGG wants the fight when it's clear to anyone that he doesn't.
When do you think the fight will happen? Canelo has a million times better resume and he just turned 25. Is he going to just jump from 155 straight to 160 to fight GGG? Because if he doesnt he will have to vacate, and once he vacates I dont see him just going into the ring with GGG unless he has 2-3 fights at 160. Remember he's 25.

If GGG stops Lemieux and Canelo/Cotto winner, he will be so much AAA side compared to Ward. Even now, 50-50 at 168 is a joke.

Besides, GGG will likely want to go after the last MW belt, so 2016 doesn't sound realistic for the Ward fight.

Canelo avoiding Golovkin altogether is far more likely than them doing 1 million PPV buys.
