Did more than I predict. I didn't think it would do over 500k.

Purses for #MayweatherBerto main event alone was $36M. If PPV does even 550k it nets around $20M. Lot to make up with gate & other revenue.

Mayweather couldn't break 400K buys until he became a crossover star. They were all in the 300,000's. Golovkin is similiar but he's about to make the process go a lot faster compared to Mayweather.

It took 4 fights with consistently same PPV buys before Mayweather became a crossover star at 2.4 million with ODLH. (Fights before Oscar were in 300,000's).

After he became a cross-over star is when he starting making the millions and that "baton" was passed by Oscar.

In Golovkin's case, he will do one fight with Lemieux that'll either surpass or be in the range of Mayweather's first four fights. But it's only going to take him one fight after Lemieux with Canelo to become a crossover star. Canelo/GGG is going to sell big.

In the same way that Mayweather PPV bonafied after Oscar, so GGG will be after Canelo. Mayweather become a bonafied PPV STAR at 31. GGG will become a bonafied PPV STAR at 33.

That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying GGG will do as good as Mayweather, but they both will have become bonafied PPV stars in early 30's. Get it?

Who said he's getting the Canelo fight. And who said he's going to get it by the time he's 33? Also that fight won't even hit a million.

I don't know why I continue to argue with you. You only see what you want to see and no one can tell you otherwise. :verysad
